Anyone else feel special knowing 99% of Yas Forums had to watch someone else play this game instead of being able to play it themselves?

I feel bad. It's the kind of game that you need to experience to really appreciate. I bet there's a ton of people who watched a playthrough or are going to play through the non-vr mod that will think "meh" about the experience because they don't know what it feels like to actually be playing it.
That, and some chapters like jeff are only good the first time through. It's not nearly as good when the gameplay and plot have been spoiled.
This game will probably never get the appreciation it deserves, at least compared to other valve titles like portal and HL2.
There are a lot of people with Index kits on hold but yeah it feels good to have ordered it early enough to already have played.
>vr
Yeah that's a strong yikes on that one.
Ok poorfag lol
Why is it 2020 and VR games still have this retarded immersion killing teleporting around shit? Why can't you just walk around like a normal video game? Surely it's not that processor intensive to just widen the field of view on a regular game?
You can walk normally in the game using an analog stick bro. The game has multiple movement options.
You can walk in Alyx, don't need to teleport really.
>TFW was able to beat it without being spoiled
Normal walking makes normalfags sick. Vid related

>*dont want to spend my money on a literal turd*
>hurr durr you're poor fagit!!
Keep mindlessly consuming this outdated franchise though. You're doing a fine job.
This
You actually are poor though, and you actually are a faggot
Whatever you say buddy
>Literal turd
I bet you own a modern console.
VR isn't mainstream, so (almost) every developer wants to make sure that their game can be babby's first VR experience so that they can hit the widest possible demographic.
It's a shame, traditional movement feels so much better once you get used to it. continuous turning still makes me gag
You can use continuous motion for both movement and view control. I turned that immersion breaking teleportation garbage off right away, although there are definitely some points where you're still forced to use it, such as jumping.
Was a very solid experience imho, chapter 8 was my personal highlight. That museum vibe works perfectly for a VR experience. I hope more people will take the leap and cop a VR set so they can truly experience it for themselves, All this talk about a "non-vr HL:A" really makes my eyes roll since that would be a painfully boring experience, guaranteed.
I have a Rift and this game is shit
It's inevitable that VR will one day get big. Either from Apple making it appealing to normalfags or VR eventually becoming cheap. No one would turn down a VR device if a RIFT S only cost $80
Prove it
>I have a Rift
Most likely the reason why :^]
The only console I own is a ps3
Get stronger bro. The grid waits for no man
lol, thanks for proving my point
$1000
You have my word, user
>he really thinks I game on a ps3 in 2020
Oh... so this one's retarded.
>babbys first vr experience
boneworks is miles better
No retard, that's the point. You say VR is a waste of money turd and yet you bought a ps3 back when it was out.
Tried a VR once, completely unusable for people who need to use glasses because they are farsighted.
Couldn't see shit without them, had to jam them between the head and vr, worst experience ever.
Retarded chopped walking stick controls which can't even simulate 5 fingers I won't even complain about.
In everything but gameplay
>jankworks
>Muh boneworks
It's a janky piece of shit.
Modern VR devices allow glasses. Source: I wear glasses
>implying
>projecting
>assuming
>Haha VR is a waste of money
>Buys a fucking ps3
Lol. Imagine being this retarded
Well the ones I used fucking didn't.
Also, even if they do how do you stop fogging the lenses ?
Trumpbux
>still too retarded to understand where I was getting at
I have never spent any money on a ps3 in my entire life. Some of us (obviously not you) have friends irl that lend us things, in this case, a blu ray player.
I guess vr is free too since my Rift was a gift. Your argument is shit
Glad you didnt actually spend money on that shit. Happy for you bro.
I like Boneworks' variety and guns more, but HL:A does everything else better.
