I don't think so, you can badly translate the dialogues and the way things are written, but not an overall plot. If the plot threats you like 12 y.o., constantly repeating what happened before, giving you a stupid flashbacks scenes to things you already saw etc. it wasn't broken in translation.

I didn't defend western AAA games in any way, but don't tell me AAA japanese games are somehow better than western AAA games. There are good japanese games, just not the big budget ones.
