better hardware by every measure. But games were expensive, because it was hardware and most titles were published by nintendo.

dev friendly and cheap, so it had more better selection of games and more creativity.

Next gen is probably going to be more like the 7th gen. Instead of introducing bump maps and normals, they're introducing ray tracing and ssd memory.
