is this where IPs go to die?
Is this where IPs go to die?
if it isnt a souls like game then yes.
they sure as hell killed Tekken
No these are
>Tons of weeaboo franchises stuck with them
Life just ain't fair.
based
this company pisses me off the most. it has the most potential with ips I actually like but they rather shit out more arena fighters
Bamco is the EA of Japan.
EA isn't just where IPs go to die. It's also where Developers go to die.
Yes.
They made some horrible contract with the Shonen anime company that they're required to pump out a game for each IP every year. It's what leads to horrible rushed cookie cutter arena fighters.
Two of the shittiest publishers in one thread is almost too much to bear.
Is this true? My view of Banco isn't as bad as people on this board because I never look forward to their anime games but the shitty arena fighters always seem like they're made because people eat them up and the anime higher ups don't complain
every year?
JOJO hasn't gotten a game in about 5 years or so and I don't think there's a Naruto game planned (Storm 4 or whatever is old now too), Those are 2 of their biggest franchises.
What games do these people even make besides Souls. Everything they own is garbage.
>Pac-Man is dead
>Klonoa is dead
>Xenosaga is dead
>Ridge Racer is dead
>Katamari is dead
>Time Crisis is dead
>.hack is dead
>Souls is dead
>Tons of other classic series (Splatterhouse, Tower of Druaga, Dig Dug) are dead
>Elden Ring is MIA
>Tales series is MIA, no news on Arise since its reveal
>Project X Zone will likely never get a new game due to copyright debacle
>Taiko just escaped Japan-only hell and got its first release in the west since 2004 a year ago
>Idolmaster will literally never escape Japan-only hell
>Ace Combat just got to come back to life after a decade+ since the last numerical release and even then it barely got released
>Soul Calibur just got to come back to life after a six years since the last numerical release and is probably about to go right back into the gutter
Enjoy your six Dragon Ball games a year though bro
Not as dead as Konami.
The most recent shit anime arena fighters are MHA, One Punch Man, and Jump Force
no.
>Tales series is MIA, no news on Arise since its reveal
my guess is it's corona-related why we haven't heard anything new. digimon survive just got delayed again and dbz kakarot's dlc got abruptly scaled down to just boss fights instead of story episodes, too.
Which ones?
Why complain about Dark Souls being dead when Elden Ring is Dark Souls with fresh coat of paint?
f-zero, advance wars, starfy, punch-out, pilotwings, wario land, wave race, mario & luigi, custom robo, 1080 snowboarding, etc., etc.
>Project X Zone will likely never get a new game due to copyright debacle
Elaborate.
sega and capcom are as bad if not worse
2 of these had games in the 2010s
PxZ director left Monolith and he was essentially the only reason the games were getting made in the first place
Not really sure what that has to do with copyright but it's pretty much a dead series from here on out
user said a new game for EACH IP has to come out every year
He can still work as freelancer, right?
I glossed over that because it's reasonable for them to have a quota but I guess that user was bullshitting the whole time
pilotwings had one game in 2011 and then nintendo gave up on the franchise (while still shilling proven failures like fire emblem).
mario & luigi is officially dead since alphadream went bankrupt and nintendo did nothing to save them.
I wouldn't be so disappointed with Capcom if they didn't release the Darkstalkers is not Dead promotional video
>Bomberman
>Contra
>Frogger
>Yugioh
>Momotaru Dentetsu
>Solomons Key (New IP)
>PES
>Power Pros Baseball
>DDR
All of these had games within the last 2 years while others are having games soon.
Activision isnt that bad compared to EA and Ubisoft tbqh
still fucking mad about my boy pacman
