11 saved the franchise. It sold better than 95% of the franchise and reviewed well. We already know the team is making a new game and signs point to it being X9. 11 also introduced features that should be standard going forward, for X games as well (at least stuff like right stick weapon wheel and all the side content like time trials/balloon run/Light's Challenge).
My man. 10 is a wonderful game with varied level design and music and the best Wily Castle in the series. Some of the mini-bosses can be assholes but that's about it. It's my personal favorite, but I'd put 4 & 11 on its level.

Real talk: I don't understand how people like Legends. To me, it's very much a failed attempt at turning a beloved 2D game into a 3D one a la Castlevania on N64

I get why they made MM 11 like they did, but I'd like for them to go back to pixelshit. If they're not comfortable making yet another NES game, play around with a 16 bit art style or try something new with pixels.
