am i missing something, or do the elder scrolls games just suck?
Am i missing something, or do the elder scrolls games just suck?
different strokes for different blokes
You just like stroking cock.
Oblivion. its good you retard. idc about the rest though.
Morrowind was pretty good. I liked Oblivion when it came out but it aged like milk. Skyrim has been shit since the day it launched. Never played Daggerfall or Arena, I do keep meaning to try out Daggerfall though, it's just an intimidating game
what do you like about oblivion?
Bethesda sucks big donkey dicks
its map, dunegons, the fact that its an actual fucking RPG. Skyrim is a shitty first-person hack and slash.
Welcome to the world of the real. The Elder Scrolls games just suck. Morrowind had possibly the worst reward system I've ever experienced in an RPG. They others weren't much better. They are boring games for boring, mentally challenged people.
>an actual fucking RPG
with a completely broken leveling system
whoops!
That and the ugly characters, terrible main quest are its flaws. The rest is dope. The leveling can be fixed.
They really aren't very good.
The core concepts and mechanics are great for the type of game that they are, but in terms of moment to moment gameplay they're horrible.
The core gameplay is combat, but the combat is horribly clunky and really hasn't improved.
Exploration, storytelling, and character building are the major boons to the series, but these positive qualities are on the downward with each new game in the series.
While it's become something of a tired meme at this point, compare swinging a sword in Skyrim to swinging a sword in Dark Souls.
One of these actions is so impactful, precise, and genuinely fun to do, while the other feels like you're a child attempting to larp.
why do you like it more than morrowind?
Can't say that until you've tried Skyrim on every platform.
i havent played morrowind so i dont have an opinon on it.
>map
>boring green forests as far as the eye can see with almost nothing worth finding between marked location
I hate fags that gush over the quests.
Worst azuras star quest ever, some guild quests are novel but only once and then its boring as fuck since you realize how its all subversive for the sake of it and becomes way too predictable. Fighters guild quests just plain sucks
It tried to hard to never break from its own formula which was mediocre at best
Not to mention the fucking broken scaling on enemy gear and goblin HP
you should, its a great game
i wish there was more choice in the wuests in elder scrolls games
Then play morrowind.
You free to fuck any quest up any way you want
dont most quests in morrowind have the same outcome? i want it to be like new vegas where there are multiple solutions
i wish there was more options in the sandbox like setting up businesses or starting guilds
idk if you can do that in arena or daggerfall havent played them
No. They do not "just suck", they just work.
You didnt say that user
But yeah ES is more about making sure everything is able to be completed rather than how nv is about factions and deciding who to side with.
They kinda suck.
I like them, though. Comfy fantasy adventure games, not many of those.
Eh, I'm fine with just treating quests as mini-stories.
I wish it was clearly telegraphed which dungeons are tied to quests so you don't complete them in the wrong order, and that the dungeons in general weren't snapmap.
Yes they do. I don't even know why it's my favorite game series. Stockholm syndrome maybe
Arena is unplayable.
Daggerfall is borderline unplayable.
Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim are masterpieces.
Morrowind "aged" even worse than Oblivion
lmaonospears
I'd say neither have aged. Everything that was divisive about them then is the same as what's divisive about them now. Potato faces, people not grasping stamina/skills for the missmissmiss meme, endless oblivion gates, the odd wiki style npc dialogue that made every Morrowind NPC interchangeable, so on and so forth.
see i liked the elder scrolls games till i played dagerfall, it corrupted me i realized that Bethesda had been making the same game with the same mistakes since the 90s.
spooky skeletons ahead
i mean they might just not be your thing user
>am I missing something
Brains, taste
what mistakes are those?
level up by doing stuff, boring loot, tedious amount of dungeons that don't surprise, clunky combat, glitches, enemies that level with you,
daggerfall just ramps everything up but also ramps up some of the good sides is mostly a highlight of whats wrong and right with bethesda
