I think people just do it for the experience and morbid curiosity to be fair. Probably a lot of people who haven't been to a funeral wanting to see how it's like. MMOs are different. I don’t know about this specific person, but for some severely disabled people it’s the closest they can get to truly being themselves without the baggage of their disability and the longevity of the games means they develop meaningful friendships that they wouldn’t get IRL.
