What are you playing?
Are the Xeno games good?

This one managed to be a concentration of everything I hate about anime. I have no idea why people like it. The first two in the series are pretty good though.

Stella Glow.
More like Stella SLOW. What in the goddamn hell? Slugs are faster than this battle system.

This but unironically

This but ironically

I didn't believe the soul meme until I started playing White Knight Chronicles

That's an idiotic meaningless statement given how varied anime is as a medium

I am replaying XC1 and yes, XC games are good.

You know what he meant (which is why it pissed you off), so clearly it's not a meaningless statement.

What's the combat like? I've heard it's unique, I'm thinking of picking it up on Switch when it's out

>What are you playing?
Ys IX
>Are the Xeno games good?
Saga 2 and 3 are good, the rest are not really.

No I don't know what he meant. I'm guessing he's an ironicfag

Just finished FF7R, beat the superboss even.
Wasn't as bad as Yas Forums made it sound, certainly a more interesting battle system than Xenoblade at least.

Similar to a MMO in the sense you have skills with cooldowns in a pseudo-active battle system.
XC1 and XC2 have enough tutorials to explain everything, just don't play XCX as your first and you will be fine.

>pre 90s anime
But it's a 90s anime at heart.
It's literally everything I used to watch on Toonami as a kid in a video game.

The Torna DLC is the last JRPG I played. Anything in the last two years worth playing?

1>Torna DLC>X=2

XC1 is very MMO like. Auto attack with a focus on timing abilities with cooldowns. XC2 has the same basic concept, but is quite a bit more action focused.

I did play XCX as my first why is that bad?

Cause the game sucks at explaining the battle system compared to XC1 and 2, and I am aware of the e-manual mind you.

>What are you playing?
Xenoblade X right now
>Are the Xeno games good?
I only ever played X but it's fucking amazing, 10/10 game, I doubt there are many games with as much content and depth as this one, I recommend it to everyone, especially since you can play it easily on Cemu

You can play squad tasks and missions on Cemu now?

I haven't updated cemu in literally like 2 years. But the last time I tried XCX it was known issue to crash every 10 minutes and it kept getting worse with every update. Has that been fixed by this point?

Is this the front desk of the Based Department?

>What are you playing?
Nothing at the moment. Finished FF7R and will try to get platinum soon, I'm playing Diablo 3 atm (not JRPG), and will replay Dark Souls 3 soon (yes, that's JRPG)
>Are the Xeno games good?
Yes. Don't ask, preorder the remake. I can't believe it's coming out next month.

Tried XCX just a few weeks ago with the newest Cemu and it had no issues aside from sound mixing, but that might be just the game itself.

I wasn't able to get the missions to work but tasks work flawlessly, I even got those bunny outfits doing them
Runs perfectly now, my PC is pretty bad and old but I'm able to play it with only a few framedrops in NLA, never crashed even once

Just died to a cocksucking random encounter in P4 after beating the first boss in heaven.
This game is piss easy by SMT standards so whenever I die it's just random enemies killing MC in one turn. Such a frustrating mechanic.

Xeno is my favorite JRPG series but it has some jank and isn't for everyone.
XB1 is the most accessible and XBX has the best gameplay, if you're looking for an entry point.

>Saga 2 is good
>but Gears and the Blades aren't
What the fuck am I reading? I don't ride the Saga 2 hate train like most anons but it's still the worst in the series.

I enjoyed DQXI and FE:3H but neither are the best in their series.

Game over being tied to MC death is the worst mechanic in any party based game I swear. I can't believe at some point developers thought it was a good idea.

Saga 2 has decent combat, something that Gears and Blade lack.

The Xeno games are all fantastic. Don't let people start shitposting about any particular order in them, they're all between 9/10 and 10/10 and worth playing. Very highly recommended.

Yeah, it's a drag, it goes faster in NG+. Stella Glow is great though, it's a game with a surprising amount of heart and more polish than you'd expect- when you notice the characters voice lines change to fit the mood/situation of the plot, that's freaking fantastic imo.

>This game is piss easy by SMT standards so whenever I die it's just random enemies killing MC in one turn. Such a frustrating mechanic.

It really is a dumb mechanic, but it shouldn't be happening to you more than maybe once or twice a playthrough. Your Party Members can save you from it, and you should have those dolls that'll protect you too.

Works and makes perfect sense in BG2. Other than that yeah, it's largely kind'a shit.

The problem is that the Persona games are still so heavily derivative of 3 and 3 was built with the philosophy of "You're playing as the Main Character, it's your story!".

Sounds good in theory, if your character dies then your story is over. And hey, of course you can't control your party members, you can only advise them and hope they listen to you, but if they don't like you much they won't listen! All interesting ideas, but just like with Last Guardian, having a giant animal that actually controls like a giant animal (ie that it only kind'a listens to you) is interesting in concept and fucking obnoxious in execution.

>says while posting coombait
Oh, I'm sure you like it because it's 10/10 alright

XBC2 has a far, far better combat system than Saga2. Even XBC1 is better than Saga 2. I haven't played X so I can't compare that.

I got Xeno 2 due to all the mocking and coomer threads. Sure it has a lot of anime cliches and cringe scenes, but it's a really an enjoyable game.

>Great story
>Amazing worldbuilding
>Stella OST
>Fun, likeable main characters you enjoy spending time with
>Actual development and growth for both the MC and his companions
>Fantastic combat systems

Which game am I talking about? Oh, all of them. They're all amazing games. Okay X doesn't have a good story, but whatever, the rest is true

Underages please go

>no paizuri window

But I were underage, I'd be spamming coombait.
