This update is rather lame honestly
World maker is fun to use but I doubt there'll be many good worlds
Koopalings are good additions but you'll realistically only use one per level
Powerups are good but are mostly only used for gimmick levels
Mechakoopas are cool, but nowhere near as versatile as most enemies

Well, if you haven't yet, could you try out my new reuploaded Tower of Trials? I posted this a year ago when the game was new and I remember a lot of fellow anons enjoyed it a lot. It doesn't have any new assets since it was a launch lever but I still hope you enjoy it nonetheless

I like to go through new levels and see if anything is good, but this update has made the shit levels even worse. Every single level is just 1-4 or 5-3 or 6-2 and they all have no effort put in

Now that I uploaded a world, I am getting 100s of plays. Can someone say why I am getting so lucky here? How are worlds displayed in the super worlds menu? Is there an algorithm?

Just finished my first level of the patch. I wanted to do something completely and totally original, like nobody had ever done before, so I did a simple SMB2 Mario level.

What do the ninjis on super worlds mean?

How exactly does reupload work? Like is there a way to make edits without losing all the likes and comments, because that'd be very useful for building worlds

Do I for cohesion and choose one game style, or go for variety and switch game styles up every level? Might be tough to make 40 completely original levels in one theme.

I had the same dilemma but I decided to just switch it up for more variety and different level concepts.

Why wouldn't you change the theme every subworld?
Plus you have a good excuse for putting water, boo houses, castles, underground levels, and airships in any world regardless of theme

Literally the exact same thing I was thinking and I went with what said too.
It would definitely be neat to keep everything to one style in terms of aesthetics but I always get ideas that only really work in other game styles that I'd like to take advantage of.

Nope, if you want to reupload you now have to manually delete the level from the server, make the edit, and then reupload. It's annoying and I have no idea why it needed to be changed

wtf? I just got like 10 comments that are either "so tough" or "really?" on my 30% clear rate level.

Made a single world super world featuring all of the old levels I made in 2019 because why not. This update may actually get me back into level making. It's straight forward and features a difficult bonus level if you're into that kind of thing, it also has this level too if you haven't already given it a spin

Defend this. You literally can't. You can set the number of lives you start with too, so if you were doing a ball bustingly hard world, you could have your player start with 99 lives. There's fucking NO excuse for lives to do nothing. Non what so ever. I'm not saying they should punish the ever living shit out of you by making you start from World 1 stage 1 if you lose all your lives on World 8, but they should make you go back to the start of a World or some shit.
Fuck sake. It's always the little things like this which ruin my enjoyment.

Or you could just make your levels each start with a couple of 1-ups, if you didn't care about lives. So even if lives did matter, world creators could easily make things easy anyway if they wanted to.
All the current setup does is mean you can't make it hard, even if you do want to.

yes. but making levels is the best part of the game

I would say so. The good levels are at least significantly easier to find than they are in 1. The worlds thing should make things a lot easier for non-makers.

yeah, but just know that most levels are garbage so play filtered or popular levels only. fuck endless and multiplayer modes
