What's the point again to git gud in that video games...

what's the point again to git gud in that video games? and why it's insanely hard compared to even other team games like lol or r6?

despite being only guardian 2 after 400h I keep seeing hundreds of players stuck around me brackets for years, and I'm talking about "4k matches, stared in 2k13"

how does pros managed it?

The point is your own satisfaction and MEN like to overcome challenges and achieve something to satisfy their needs and goals.

Flaccid zoomers just want to press x to win.

Dota is a game of illusions and strategies.
LoL is an action quick reactions game.
Getting good at dota requires a fundamental understanding, which everyone below 7k mmr just lacks.
So don't feel bad about being low mmr op. The games are the exact same trash from 2k to 7k. The only enjoyable Dota is Pro Dota.

> and why it's insanely hard
shit ton of mechanics that are never explained in the game

I still don't know how valve never managed to do a decent tutorial

Why would you even care about this game anyway? The community is awful and the balance keeps fucking changing on a daily basis

satisfaction about what? with like a decent winrate (55%) it would take me 400 hours of nonstop tryhard dota to get crusader 3 or 4
by that time I could finish every single tales game

Because it's fun.

>crusader

Because you've stopped trying to improve and you just autopilot matches.

t. retard stuck in high legend bracket for years whos now high ancient

>call yourself MEN
>play video games all day long

it feels richier than all of the mobas I tried, it's like discovering rocket jump in tf2 after playing overwatch for a long time
but I do try to improve and do my best, but I feel that every game is decided by who's the better mid and it's really painful to lose these long matches because someone with all the farm just die alone in the map

the better tutorials are community-made
just like dota itself

I like dota but wtf is this wankery about how its extremely hard. shit like shops, fog/trees, denying and turnrate are something you just get used to. you fags' heads are harder than dota will ever be.

It's not about getting used to something, it's about getting into it your brainlet

Guardian/crusader matches are absolutely not decided by the mid lane. Think about it like this, any divine player could go pick any position in that tier and carry the game. There is tons you're wrong without realizing it

It takes more than just raw hours to get better at anything. You need a coach to tell you what you're doing wrong and how you should approach the game differently. I haven't played Dota 2 in years but I can't even remember which rank guardian was. All I remember are ancient and divine, and if you're not at least ancient, then you must be really awful at the game (don't get me wrong, most ancients are bad at the game too).
That's the problem with solo queue, especially on lower skill levels. Players only think about themselves. Don't care about other lanes or if other lanes heroes' got counter picked (very, very common for mid lane). Supports would rather just sit in the safelane and not help other lanes. Then you have players who don't understand that their lane was lost since the first minute, but instead of doing something else, like rotating, they decided to sit there for 10 minutes and watch the enemy free farm and deny everything.

play offlane user, they can salvage the game by themselves in shitter tiers assuming the other 2 lanes aren't extremely retarded.

guardian is the second worst rank around 1.5k~

what is it with moba players that the first thing they always do is call other people bad

it's just not true and there's a reason most if not all boosters pick nothing but meepo/huskar/brood
below 2k (I assume it is, i don't recall exactly what guardian is) your midlaner (and safelane core) can feed chunks of gold even without doing it on purpose, and unlike high skill where your support can gank and change the outcome of the lane, your first pick sniper will give the enemy invo 4 free levels and no one gonna help him
this is how I climbed and how everybody else did (at least in shitter mmr like OP)

git gud lmao
should have played dota in wc3 zoomer

you can be shit and still know that others are shit user.

because it's actually extremely difficult to expect good result in a complex strategy video game played by 5 randos against 5 randos with different skillsets, attitude, behaviour ,,, experience and temper where a single mistake can cost you the game
in dota's case, the matches can goes 40+ minutes so you don't feel good wasting 40 minutes of your life

dota is the quake of mobas, full of boomers. nobody likes certains aspects of the game but they have to stay the same because that's how it was back in the day.

>assuming the other 2 lanes aren't extremely retarded.
I had a luna last game with manta treads 2x wraith band at 55 minutes. 400gpm on fucking luna. some people are just straight up retarded and just want to pick the most important roles either because it's fun to take the rudder and crash the boat or just suffer from dunning krueger

>nobody likes certains aspects of the game but they have to stay the same because that's how it was back in the day.
Laughs in neutral items

Why do you need a coach though? I think with an understanding of efficiency and watching your own replays you can probably figure most of it out on your own, just that nobody does that. Thats what a lot of Dota is about outside of mechanical skill and knowing about the game itself (heroes items map etc.)isn't it?

post more please
I mean clips

They pick mid for several reasons:
>ez cheese picks like brood which are horrible to play against unless you know what to do which most players dont
>If you win the lane you can leave it and shit on either of the other lanes or just run down mid alleviating the other 2 lanes to come deal with you
>You get solo xp and dont have to share it
As the other user has said the mid winning doesnt equal ggez even with the current winlane win game meta as at that bracket the mid feeds so often after thinking theyre unstoppable and any decent side lane player can suddenly kill them, which as an offlane/pos4 player happens fucking loads. Plus if the mid doesnt press their advantage or farms worse than their carry lf its a farmer mid like dusa etc. then you end up being another pleb.

Winning mid doesnt decide the game, its how players react to the mid loss which at low brackets is fucking dumb. As 80% of players I play with beyond my ancient friend I queue with (Im a pleb crusader/archon) can only play from ahead or rely on the other team being retarde4d and dont make plays or damage mitigate properly.

not that user, but I think coach is the wrong word. Just somebody that shows you what is going wrong, that you simply can't find out yourself.
Back in the day *sips* when you had to look up the size of every neutral camp so you know how big it is and how you can block it. Sure sooner or later you'll find it out yourself, but gl with that

The ranked system, as well as just the whole game in general, breeds discontent and frustration, it's why you see so many people raging in and out of the games. CSGO is the same way, and even Rocket League has this shit. Any game that prides itself as an "esport" or has skill based ranking will always have a "git gud" attitude.

Mason talked about it for a couple of minutes on Grant's stream. He said that it used to be anyone who didn't build retarded items and actually tried to get last hits was almost a pro-player, but now you have 2k players flaming people for going the wrong item build or missing last hits. The skill floor and ceiling have definitely been raised significantly.

Most low MMR shitters think carry is the only important role. Its real annoying as a support player having to babysit 3 carries while they AFK jungle

if you're not going to spam the same hero for 100s of hours, DO NOT PLAY DOTA2. it is the only way you will climb.

>>its how players react to the mid loss which at low brackets is fucking dumb
>Plan on losing mid to cut your losses, either because you fucked up or the matchup is just awful, and get ready to farm jungle to come back
>Team shits on you for not winning mid and flames, feeds, and worse case scenario blocks your camps
Every fucking time.

Lmao you can’t carry a team as pos 5 since that position is for team captains which don’t exist in pub games, you aren’t carrying shit as lich or whatever hard support you pick

Back when I played religiously I was able to climb from 1.9K to the high 3K ranks from playing the offlane. Honestly seeing that improvement is one of my favorite gaming accomplishments when I look back on it.

I am and still always a sucker for high execution type characters in all games, so I mostly used Lone Druid. Shit it carries over to other games like when I played SF4 and played C.Viper.

>so I mostly used Lone Druid
terachad of the thread
ranged or radiance build?

Getting good at video games is autistic. They're recreation.

but that's boring, dota has like 100 different heroes and soft/hard counters

I dont play mid but sometimes I expect them to lose as you said which is fair on them.
My other friend mainly plays pos 3 with me as the pos 4. It annoys me so much that he doesnt get that I want to leave the lane and I have to babysit him, plus he doesnt understand that to 'win' a lane you sometimes just have to not die, soak xp, or just leave if you keep dying. Like Ill be pulling the wave behind their tier 1 and dragging it back and he will dive their pos1 just because he is slightly low.

It always helps to have someone's opinion that is not part of the current game. It's very easy to just autopilot and not think about how the game is progressing. A coach isn't going to make you better at pressing buttons, but he can definitely make you better at reading the current game and how to use power spikes for your team advantage. None of this matters though if your team is shit. But if you are hard stuck in guardian, then you really cant blame your team for all the losses you had. I'm sure you make mistakes all the time. Dota 2 really fucking sucks as a solo queue game. The most fun I ever had was playing battlecups, it's shame Valve never made a proper 5v5 environment for the game.

Also on another note, in recent years I started playing Tekken 7 and while it's a game in different genre, it's also similar to dota 2 in the sense that you have to learn bunch of shit (which arent explained inside the game) before you can really start playing the game properly. I went to some locals and got taught by a very good player about the game on the fly. I learned more in 2 hours of locals than I learned in two weeks of playing total randoms in online. Having someone to tell you (on the fly) can be so effective to help you understand all the little situations that you can be put into in these types of games.

it'll be dead in 2 years anyway no reason.

You have to have some legendary patience and rage resistance to get anywhere in these games, idk why but something about them really gets me fucking mad sometimes like no other game does, it also doesn’t help when you know you have a shit team 10 minute in and you’re stuck playing that game for another 30 minute at least, you don’t have that problem in any other game.
