What modern controller has the best Dpad for playing 2D games?
>inb4 8bitdo chinkshit
What modern controller has the best Dpad for playing 2D games?
>recommend me a controller
>but only between ps4 and Xbox because everything else is literally chinkshit
Enjoy spending $300 on a hori piece of rubbish that you'll delude yourself into believing is better than the rest because you overpaid for a name
Nothing chink is worth buying. I want a controller that isn't going to fall apart in a month. I bet you buy garbage off aliexpress and think you're getting a deal.
>buy works fine for a few months
>a button gets stick or analogue gets misaligned
>wrap it up and put in storage
>next chink controller I buy undergoes similar cycle
>put in storage
>take out previous chink controller
>all problems magically rectified
>works like new
Can someone explain this sorcery to me?
the disgusting excretions from your unwashed fingers which was causing the button to stick has dried enough in storage for it to not stick anymore.
Joycon.
Ancient Chinese secret
8bitdo isn't rubbish though? The controller just works and keeps working with sweet battery
You can "fix" the dpad by stickytaping the inside points of all the switches if you have issues with v1
I bet you avoid aliexpress because you believe if it isn't a brand name sold in a retail shop it is automatically rubbish
Read the OP before posting, joycons don’t even have a d-pad and those small 3ds buttons are fucking garbage
>my Chinese shit isn't garbage
>here's how to fix it out of the box
I didn't say it was broken, some people have issues with the dpad so that's how they remove those issues
But I was right anyway
Everything that isn't ps/Xbox/retail near you = Chinese garbage, there's a reason people talk up 8bitdo and not the other companies like datafrog or gamesir.
If you want to pretend you're paying for quality just buy that $300 hori thing you're looking at since you obviously are only looking for someone to confirm whatever you've already chosen
>people have issues with it that requires fixing
>but it's not broken
Why in the ever living fuck would someone specifically seeking a controller with a good Dpad want to buy a controller that has issues with the dpad? Are you stupid?
>If you want to pretend you're paying for quality just buy that $300 hori thing you're looking at since you obviously are only looking for someone to confirm whatever you've already chosen
I'm OP retard, not him. No one even knows what controller you're fucking talking about.
Switch Pro Controller.
That dpad is ass. I know because I have one.
Because the dpad works fine and the "fix" is unnecessary unless you personally don't like it, in which case there is an option there
The v2 might have an even better pad. But seriously, you'll end up with hori or PS/Xbox because of your aversion to different things and fear of Chinese products
If you think the Switch Pro Controller's D-pad is shit, you'll never find one that suits your interest, because all other modern controllers neglect the fuck out of their D-pads since almost no games on their systems use them as a main means for control.
Unironically the SNES controller you can buy with the Switch online subscription, works perfectly for Mario Maker 2.
Ebay is your friend if you don’t want to pay for online on the Switch.
>y-youre just scared of different things
>it's just as good!
Cope for being poor and putting chinkshit on a pedestal because you can't afford the other alternatives
Both the Xbone and PS4 d-pads are better for the simple reason that when i press right on the d-pad it doesn’t register up or down like on the Switch Pro controller.
WiiU pro Controller.
You are gonna need a PC adapter tho.
Then your controller is fucked, because mine never has any issues with registering inputs.
And Dual Shock D-pads are laughably bad. If you hate the joycons because they just have four seperate buttons, then there's no possible way you can think those pieces of shit are acceptable.
I know the answer but i'm not gonna help you since you're a cunt.
Does that actually work on PC? I'm mostly interested in using for emulation for romhacks/translations when I can't use original hardware.
Wouldn't the grease from my fingers have the opposite effect?
I have all the alternatives, 8bitdo isn't bad and I use it all the time to play dead cells
PS4 for elite dangerous and Xbox for rocket league
So yes, you are being scared, the 8bitdo isn't even that cheap compared to what you can spend for a USB control
You sound like one of those fags who calls everyone who hates faggots secret gays. No one is buying your advocacy for chink shit. I see you fags all the time recommending this garbage for shit like flashcarts that fail in a year.
no, if it comes from the body it's probably sticky.
>some people have issues with the dpad so that's how they remove those issues
From what I understand it's an issue with the construction of older models. I couldn't replicate the issue with the model I own, so I assume it's been fixed.
The vita
I now know you have no idea what you're talking about.
Except the controller I am talking about has been talked about by plenty of other people with good reviews and if it had fallen apart you would have seen that mentioned by now
But since you haven't even googled the controller before (or you would have read reviews and seen build quality stuff and have an argument stronger than "China")your blind denial of the product just proves that you are scared of even looking at a viable competitor.
You don't even need sticks for 2d, you could just get a classic SNES or new controller and a USB converter.
Is there a reason you haven't spent $20 on all the cheap controllers? I mean its only $20 and of the 5 you get I'm sure one will be good enough for you and if not its only $20 that you can donate to people or secondhand stores. Its not like they will fall apart in your hands, you're delusional if you think that will happen
PS4 dpad is pretty good
that's fine as long as you don't touch my controllers you filthy toad.
Good to know, cheers
Shame OP thinks it's a $2 controller but he's argued so hard against it that he will never even look at them now due to his pride
I have seen reviews and almost bought it, that's why I went out of my way to mention it in the first place in OP. You're delusional if you don't think most of these reviews are paid. The few that are honest about the controller point out shit not even glanced over in the obvious shill videos. Just fuck off you stupid shit, you're not convincing anyone to buy your garbage.
Stop replying to yourself
8bitdo SN30
I wish Rumble function was good.
And that sticks don't break after half a year of usage.
And that it had a "mode switch" button ala Logitech, so you could do plain dpad inputs for character movement in most games.
