As someone who is playing FF... it isn't that much of a challenge, story is just that acid trip after you leave midgar where you hop from location to location.

On a side note: fuck the boss of the Pagoda. Fighting as an underleveled Yuffie means that the only way to win is waste his 1000 mp

Gameplay is a worse FF6. Ugly even for it's time. Everyone jacked off to Tifa's shitty model and the FMV cutscenes.

Honestly 1st timer here, I wouldnt say its bad but its okay at best.

I never really cared about graphics that much so its no big deal for me, I played PS2 and PS1 games at the same time basically and I think there is a charm in those graphics, You may not feel it tho.

Horseshit, I played FF7 as a kid when it came out and I didn't think it was that great either. I remember complaining that the MIDI soundtrack sounded dull compared to other games that had better samples and recorded music.

I had a much better time with this gem which came out the same year.
