what happened to Gran Turismo? GT4 was nearly perfect
>that career mode
>that music
>more content than any racing game that has come since
Then the series dropped off a cliff
Btw what's the best racing game on PC
What happened to Gran Turismo? GT4 was nearly perfect
GT Sport is actually the best GT game yet from a gameplay perspective.
>what's the best racing game on PC
You posted it
>Ooowwww yeah!
Nothing tops that game, seriously I remember playing it daily, it could be super easy, or super tough like that damn Mercedes nuburgring test. Best racing game for bad or worse in PC is eurotruck or American truck simulator, otherwise nothing like it.
For me it's FH3 or 4
If you're looking for actual racing sims then there's a bunch of them on PC
>what happened to gran turismo
well after gt4 they made gt5 prologue, and then gt5, and then gt6, and now they're on to gt sport
shame they're still doing them for shitty consoles when most people moved to pc years ago
All they have to do is add a proper career mode to Sport that is on part with 4 with tons of content + more cars and it would be pretty much perfect.
That's pretty much what GT7 is going to be. The car models in GT Sport are way beyond what PS4 is capable of rendering.
And the music is top tier
>That's pretty much what GT7 is going to be.
That would be pretty nice.
if you want a gt like experience get project cars 2
if you just want to fuck around with realistic cars and mods go with asset to Corsa or rfactor
Yeah they actually nailed the music. Some nice selection of licensed tracks. Very tasteful.
This isn't Reddit where they give you points for saying you are PC, go back to plebbit where plebs like you belong
How's the career mode in project cars 2?
I loved this series and it seems like the devs forgot how to make good games after 4.
Depressing.
>Then the series dropped off a cliff
Kaz's ego took over and thought he was a real race driver happened. Also he has something on Sony Japan execs since any other director would have been fired after the monumental disaster that was Gran Turismo 5's launch. Instead he got a documentary made about him.
3 A-Spec and 5 Prologue was the best in car feel. Sport feels a bit off with the slippy brake control and input lag. Also community autism over the points system in online races and it doesn't allow you to apply real techniques like Bump Drafting in Touring/Stock while other sim focused games allow you because it's constantly enforcing "Any contact at all is bad". It was funny as fuck watching their eSports and the minute the points were turned off they were dooring each other, clipping each others bumper side and trying to do dumb shit like out drag other players on the Catalunya front straight like Max Verstappen on MDMA.
I've been having a lot of fun with this game, waiting and waiting for the devs to add in a career mode and some more proper gameplay content though. Also I get why all the cars are fictional but
>gt4 levels of tracks cars and gameplay
with
>beamng physics
Would be the perfect car game, holy shit, my life would be over
epic Yas Forums moment
Sorry but racing games are too gamey and not proper oscar bait movies. It had to go.
Brakes feel fine to me
It’s Bc they take long as fuck to release. Isn’t gt sport still just supposed to be like a middle game and there’s a real full game coming along “soon”?only gt I had fun with was 3 and I played the fuck out of it especially rally races.
speaking of rally races, those are pure cancer in Sport, what were they thinking? how could they fuck it up this badly?
No stop liking it now this is fucking unacceptable
simulation racing is boring
You are boring.
>Gran Turismo
>sim
lol, it's a simcade
>worst of both worlds
I long for the day I can emulate this on a PC. It's perfect.
Since this will be the racing thread for today, what games do you feel capture the late 90s/2000s street racing culture the most? NFSU, Midnight Club 2, anything else?
>he truly believes that
at least Kaz gets his dick sucked by the whole car industry
but user, you can emulate gt4 without issues
ironically gt3 is not that easy to emulate
Was there actually a street racing culture of that time?
The memories, bro. I remember spending 3 days of my life to get every license gold like yesterday. Also some short test on Trial Mountain was unbelievably hard, with some Nissan I think
Pretty good. You can still start from Formula Rookie like I did (skipped the fuckin carts), and you get some exciting events every now and then, mostly with old Porsche's at first. The handling and the sound on historic cars are amazing.
