Completely forgot about WE WUZ Mafia 3. Yas Forums stopped mocking it one day and then it dropped from my radar completely.

It doesn't exist.

It's a decent game due to the soundtrack and the atmosphere of the game. What sucks about it is that even after seeing several patches, there are still common glitches. As in, someone is trying to kill you in a certain area, while another mission has the cops trying to kill you in a certain area, yet the circles for both areas overlap over a main mission. So while you are ready to complete a mission, police and a guy doing a drive-by are both after your ass.

I disagree. I really liked both 1 and 2, they weren't a huge departure from the series like 3 was.

Played them all back to back 2 month ago, LP1 was weird but the greatest balance of fun and setting, LP3 had a good writing and i liked the pacing, LP2 was a boring shooty shooty with no purpose

2 was unfinished and it acquiesced to some modern gaming conventions (gps, regenerating health) but while inferior to the original it was still a good successor.
I haven't touched 3 but it looks more like Godfather 3 than a Mafia game.

It's a guilty pleasure for me.

I mean, it has obvious qualities like the actual decent storytelling, the driving mechanics and the gunplay, but the flaws overshadow the qualities. It has the worst case of a Ubisoft open world with painful repetitive missions with the exact same buildings and exact same enemies over and over again. Also the AI is dumb af.

But still, running around 60s New Orleans as a human tank using Indian tactics to kill your enemies is fun af.

They dropped the heat countdown from LP1, that was weird but a nice touch and it made the game unique
They dropped any resemblance of plot and character writing, so without a context all you had was just dropping into an arena and shoot things that were glowing orange or shooting at you
The respawn and points system strays it further into MP arena land, and since i'm more a SP guy and i like my SP franchises to be SP i was disappointed
Some rail parts like a team manning a giant cannon are cool, some bosses are good as well, but not on the level of LP1
They didn't improved much on the jankiness

On the other hand i get why LP3 felt like a slap to the face of the fans, but since i have no attachment to the series i took it for what it was, and it was an okay cinematic game from mid 10's like many others

Game could have been good but it's insanely boring. I really like the theme and atmosphere and how the cars handle. Lincoln isn't a bad character either. The game's just so goddamn boring with little else to do between story missions. The city is really nicely done too but again, outside of being able to rob some stores and collectibles, there's fuckall to do.
