All it got in the 2010s was mobileshit and two low-budget remakes, this time at least there's clearly some effort to modernize the game being remade and add content even though the budget is still rather limited. Worst case scenario, it's back to mobile purgatory.

Basically, new producer is a total bro and even his first game in series (Rise of Mana) was pretty good (I think I'm like the only person who played it from launch and up until servers shutdown), but he wanted to remake all first three Seiken Densetsu games to make series popular again before making SD5. SD1 remake was good (but used Rise of Mana engine), SD2 remake had clear flaws (and still used Rise of Mana engine, even though the game was no longer only on Vita and mobile), SD3 remake looks great. Although now he has plans on remaking LoM, and I wonder how it'll turn out - I'd rather have some fixed version of SD4 because boy, Ishii really killed the series with that one.
