The best advice I can give you is don't play it at all
Its main selling point is conversations with the waifu, but they take a couple minutes at most (if you don't include the quizzes), and there are always hours of grinding for EGO points in-between. It's not worth your time.
If you still want to play it: butterflies triple all the points you collect for 10 minutes, whispers yield the most points when they are close to the screen, and the more conversations you have with the waifu, the more points you generate, so prioritize getting enough points to unlock the next conversation before reading books and clicking on whispers.

The ending you get is determined by the 3 answer options you select and not the personality tests. I might be wrong but I don't think you can get the true ending on the first run, though the boost you get for completing the game once should be sufficient to get you the others very quickly afterwards. I finished my first run last night and was able to do the other 2 within an hour. For the first run I just left it to collect ego on its own for the most part and flipped pages to increase the passive generation because fuck having to spend my time mindlessly clicking so it took about a week or something to get it done.
