Apparently Warhammer 40k now has tons of new video games, but I haven't checked any of them since Dawn of War 2.

Are any of the new ones good? Regardless of genre.

Mechanicus is kinda neat but pretty simple.

Space marine is excellent but disappointingly short and will never be concluded.

I've heard good things about the Battlefleet Gothic games but I've never played them myself.

The rest suck ass.

Space Marine is pretty okay, it's a bit basic but it's the best shooter 40k has produced.
Battlefleet Gothic is well-made, but requires you to really be into a slow-moving ship playstyle heavily focused on micromanagement, it's very niche.
Gladius is basically Civ but it doesn't do Civ as well as Civ does.
Dawn of War III is hot garbage.
Eternal Crusade made big promises and failed at all of them due to incompetent development.
Regicide is pretty simplistic, lacks depth and I wouldn't pick it up unless you absolutely love chess and the 40k aesthetic and are just looking for something casual.
IIRC, Mechanicus was pretty decent.

There's also Chapter Master which is a FREE mod for Interstellar Army Simulator 2015 and is good if you're a huge autist.

That's all I know of. Nothing particularly amazing, just some fun little diversions and some outright bad games. In other Warhammer Fantasy news, Vermintide IS good if you live in the right place, and Total War Warhammer 1&2 is okay, as far as TW games go, worth a pirate but not a purchase.

>Chapter Master
Fucking criminal what GW did to it

Oh, and if you don't want to spend thousands on tabletop 40K models and time painting, but like the idea of it, then you can also mod Tabletop Simulator to play that. Of course, need people to play it with.

no

Yeah but it's still out there in various forms iirc, just gotta go hunting through discords and such and ask people.

BFGA2 is incredibly fun and good
Mechanicus is good
Deathwing is ok

Not a single worthwhile 40k game has been made since DoW2

Is there still some development going on, or are you talking about the old unfinished version?
