I can't believe I ever liked this garbage as a kid
Building your own PC is really easy. Just follow this guide and you can do it!!!
youtube.com
Easy, it was new to you. Seemed exciting and different.
I really enjoyed Chobits when I was young and think I would still enjoy it today. It's a simple story with simple humor, but that was part of the charm.
Ive read through goblinslayer last year. It was so bad, like a 12 year old boy wrote it. Cringe overload. Im surprised it got a following at all.
Nigger.
I'm going to try to build one that can handle VR. Just need to save up money for it.
Never built one before, but hell, considering that there's Minecraft PC building kits for literal 10 year old, it can't be that difficult, right? Its basically just like a model kit or LEGOs, but you have to screw some things together and stuff, yeah?
I did
in fact I have new parts on the way so I can upgrade it
My trumpbucks haven't arrived yet
All nvidia cards now have corona.
I don't shit money and I don't get trumpbux because I don't rent or own a home
I'm waiting for parts.
What are you getting?
let's not act like the guy who listed off all those cheaper prices wasn't being disingenuous
sure you can build a pc for the same price as buying a new console but the console is going to outperform it
if you wanna outperform consoles you gotta shell out about 150% the price of a console, or even more now since bitcoin fucked the gpu market
i7 9700k CPU, a compatible motherboard and newer RAM
should keep me going for the next few years
There's cords and plugs you have to put in the right places, too. The amount of them depends on the case you get (fans and buttons) and parts. Make sure the motherboard type you get matches the case type you get (ATX or ITX) along with different sizes of cases (generally small medium and large). Long as you keep calm, work on it while NOT standing on a carpet or with socks on, and remember to make a habit of touching the case every once in a while (grounding), you're good. Remember to plug in the HDMI into the mobo and not the graphics card.
>don't get Trumpbux because...
You don't have a job, loser. All you need for Trumpbux is to have a taxable income of like $2000 you pleb
Parts come with manuals, just like legos. Your motherboard manual has all the instructions what plugs into it and how explained. Stuff like your cooler may have its own instructions since it can have a custom mounting solution. So when you build, first follow the motherboard manual, then check the manual of the part youre plugging in. Then use common sense. Google a youtube video if youre not feeling sure.
Really you'd have to be unable to follow illustrations to assemble it wrong. I can see how people with adhd might just start plugging things where they look like they match and fuck something up.
Thanks for the tidbits of advice.
Also I can trust the PC part picker site to be accurate when it says there are no compatibility issues, right?
Waiting til June for the new motherboards.
Corona-chan is great. I still have an essential job in manufacturing. No traffic since everyone's home. Gas prices crashed. Get an extra $1,200 in addition to my salary. All restaurants lowering their prices and offering free delivery. Student loans deferred with no interest. Shit is great. I hope there's a few more months of this shit. Still stocked up on toilet paper because I was racist in February and started hoarding.
If only house prices crashed so I can grab a house for what it was 10 years ago.
Why would you want to build a PC to outperform consoles?
>tfw getting a job right now is piss-fucking-easy but i live with my parents and the virus WILL kill dad if i carry it home from work
I honestly expected anime Issac Asimov with this for some reason. The Pantsu put away any and all notions for it.
Why wouldn't you?
In any case I should've pointed out that matching the performance of a PS4 with a PC is more expensive than just buying a PS4.
that fake chink accent is so fucking annoying
How can you outperform something at showing movies?
By being able to render movies.
I dont use it but i asume so, surely the kinks wouldve been worked out by now.
Things that you can manually check are:
Motherboard compatability with your cpu, and cooler compatability with your motherboard
So current ryzen cpus have AM4 sockets (part where the cpu sockets in). Motherboard should say AM4 socket, the cooler has to have AM4 listed as well in its supported list so it has mounts for that socket ( coolers may be compatible with alot of different sockets listed).
RAM: modern ram use DDR4 memory, so don't buy DDR3 memory by mistake unless youre building an older system. Your motherboard/cpu have the memmory listed, including max frequency, so dont go overboard with mhz. 3000 to 3600 are reasonably priced and are almost guaranteed to be supported at those speeds, if not then they'll just clock lower but still work fine.
Motherboard form factor to case form factor. ATX, MATX etc. Check if your motherboard fits in the case you want. You can fit a Smaller motherboard in a larger case, but not vice versa. If you want a small form factor case, make sure your gpu isn't too long and will fit in the case too.
If youre buying a m.2 SSD (its like a thin stick) make sure your motherboard has m.2 slot to plug it in. Sata cable SSDs are guaranteed to work, just like hdds.
Dont go overboard with the power supply. 700w is more than enough for high end gpus. 600w is enough for everything else. You can get 550w for 1660 1060 rx580 if its cheaper, though dont buy cheap no-name power supplies.
I think thats about it.
Oh and be aware that old motherboards like B350's may be quite cheap and AM4 supported but may need a bios flash to work with current Ryzen cpus. So if youre matching an older motherboard with modern ryzen cpu, maybe do a bit of googling "is X cpu supported on Y motherboard out of the box". I'd personaly wouldn't hastle with that and get a latest supported motherboard to avoid any issues.
Now you know why no one cares about it anymore
I like to use my money in a way that's efficient and cost-effective. PC gaming is not that. More than $2000 for a high-end build. That's unacceptable. And you need a 9900K and 2080 Ti, otherwise why not just get a console?
Console games are tied to its input type, so the range of game types you can get is very limited in comparison. Unless you enjoy those types of games exclusively, you'd better off buying a mid-range pc.
