star ocean 3 is fucking retarded

Literally the only game I can think of that had this mechanic was Star Ocean 3:Till the end of time. Is was great actually. It implies magic death which is cooler then physical death

How could you tell?

Mana should be considered a life essence required for physical attacks not just magic, and draining it should severally cripple you in combat

You'd never even have a chance to make contact with her if she were. Some things aren't real for a reason.

>MP draining move costs MP
>get way less than the cost to cast it
>enemies have unlimited MP

What game has, bar none, the most retarded turn based combat ever designed? I've been feeling like playing something truly awful lately.

Agarest generations of war has the shittiest turn based combat I have ever played. I fucking hate that game. Just thinking about it makes me seethe that I spent $40 on it.

I WANT TO MAKE HALF-HUMAN BABIES WITH FREYA

What's awful about it?

Indeed it is. The mobile game makes more sense at this point. Fucked up though that it's at not on switch at least.

>enemies cry for their mothers

Game?

Licking freya's rodent snatch.

The most monotonous random combats i've ever played where you have to spend 30+ minutes on a single non boss fight random encounter, bosses require an insane amount of grinding, and if you take too ong to grind you lock yourself out of the true/good ending. Also, some of the requirements to get shit in the game are dumb as fuck, like this.

But basically every random battle the game drags you through is the equivalent of a marathon.

To this day I still wonder what the fuck they were thinking. It says a lot that both games that followed were prequels to try to disassociate themselves from that clusterfuck.

>enemies can run away in fear if they start losing
