Are they really just going to rotate the same 2 songs for the entire game? I'm already sick of both of them.
And I already changed voices to Japanese. Not even a weeb but the English versions were intolerable.

DQ11 was made with English voices in mind.
DQ11 dub was good though
>Gore blimey, gov'na! 'Ardly bin seein' ya round dees parts befoaw! Who's you, da bloomin' loominary!?
Couldn't handle it.
That's it charm.
Switch to the DQ8 soundtrack. Doesn't get that boring.
>music is bad
Agreed
>dub is bad
Kill yourself, shit taste amerimutt
Fucking Americans.
Use the DQ8 soundtrack as the overworld and sea themes won't make you want to kill yourself. The music overall is still pretty underwhelming though.
Name one of the women with a good dub. And what the fuck accent is Erik supposed to have, Brooklyn by way of London?
Simpleton.
>Are they really just going to rotate the same 2 songs for the entire game?
No. Especially since you spend so little time on the overworld in this game. Plus, you have an option to switch the overworld to the music from Dragon Quest VIII. The best overworld song in the series. It's almost like the developers listened to the fans...
>And I already changed voices to Japanese. Not even a weeb but the English versions were intolerable.
Good boy. A game that's basically a shounen anime, full of Japanese tropes and cliches, should be played with those things intact. You just won't get Senya's Ara Ara personality in English. And Sylv's flamboyant nature is really covered up by his "Spanish" accent. Too bad you still have to read the butchered English translation that removes all those things.
>only Americans dislike the accent junk
>looks at the clock
Ah yes, Europe is awake right now. Time for the Tsun for America hour.
I think it grow's on you, but the DQ8 the is better
People keep saying "overworld" -- does that refer to any environment with monsters? I was kind of hoping the different settings -- desert, plains, volcano -- would have different music. I only just did the horse race tho.
>dub
English version came first, Japanese version is the actual dub here
S i m p s o n
Whatever bitch the Engl ver isn't good.
Real DQ fans played it without voices.
The overworld is the area that's not a town or dungeon. In this game, they're zones linking the various areas of the game (like Final Fantasy XII). In earlier DQ games, they're an open overworld.
>I was kind of hoping the different settings -- desert, plains, volcano -- would have different music.
They do, to a point. There's more than one town theme. More than one dungeon theme. And so on. But the overworld zones keep using one song. That's standard for DQ games. People just hate it in this game because the overworld song is not as good as the overworld music in past DQ games. It's a lot like how Breath of the Wild has forgettable piano riffs, while previous Zelda games had amazing triumphant adventure music on the overworld.
I did that on the PS4 release.
Play 2D version, bitches. There's a real overworld.
>DQ11 was made with no voices in mind
ftfy
>DQ11 was made with English voices in mind.
Completely false. First of all, Horii doesn't even know English. So he couldn't make it with "English in mind." That's like saying Spielberg makes a movie with Japanese in mind.
Second of all, Horii specifically had no voices in the original release of the game at all. And he's been quite vocal as to the reason why. He wanted to keep refining the games story right up to release. Which having voiced cutscenes wouldn't allow that. Plus, the 3DS version of the game would never have voices. Not even Japanese. The Japanese voices were only added to the rerelease on Switch.
This argument is as stupid as the dubfags who kept claiming Kojima preferred western voices for MGS, even going as far as claiming he made the game with David Hayter in mind. And well, that theory blew up with MGS5.
>he made the game with David Hayter
No, he had the game with Kurt Russel in mind.
The cringe subtitles still remain sadly
Doesn't help that they all have stupid fucking bong names, seriously gemma
>Complaining about DQ11 voices
Shit taste. Even for Yas Forums.
>Japanese character says one word
>English "translation" has them saying four sentences full of rhyming and puns
Is yangus in this one??
I played Dragon Quest xi and I am playing it from start to finish.
Wow user, such a bitch.
>Tell her the truth in the first act, genuinely sad she turns to foam
>Gets retconned in third act
I mean, I guess? Lying feels like the shitty thing to do
