Stop rushing to buy crap hardware when there are no games to play.

There are always games to play. Not everyone on Yas Forums is a grumpy retard who hates everything. Plus playing games already out at higher settings, fps, resolution, etc is also fun.

>then im buying something with a fraction of the power
Ok

8/10 is a big fraction

Nothing you need a new system for.

and a fraction of the price. nvidia needs to stop scamming people or im going xbox as well.

15-20% is a significant increase if you play at high resolutions. If you're a 1080pleb that won't help you.

Mid range will have to be 2080 ti tier to compete with the xbox series x, there is no choice for nvidia but to make the cards that good.

>Mid range will have to be 2080 ti tier
That's not gonna happen.

What really matters is the price

Yeah it will because if he is scamming people with RTX prices again then people are moving to the xbox.

>very few games even used the nvidia proprietary RTX gimmick
>new line of cards does RTX gimmick 15-20% better
but where are the games

OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH ELDEN RING RAYTRACING

Do you stupid mouth breathers honestly think the Series X will be able to even compete with the RTX 2070 in raw power, let alone a fucking RTX 2080?

Compete with =/= same power.

Of course they do. 4 the players lmao

Most people will still prefer to turn raytracing off if it means 20% less FPS.

Lol peak zoomer consoomer
what a fag

Even if the 3080ti ends up being more expensive than the 2080ti I will still buy it at launch.

no, thats what the Series X Pro revision they will release 3 years later is for

you also have to consider cpu speed, the raw numbers on the console gpu are worthless if the cpu can't keep up anyways

Why would you assume the 3080ti will be more expensive?

The series x apu is more like a 2080 super. I know you are angry over getting raped by Jensen with those RTX prices but this is what a proper console generational upgrade looks like you filthy zoomer. The ps4 and xbox one were underpowered at the time of release and that is not normal.

There's no reason to expect such a low performance improvement, 15-20% is what you get by tweaking clocks and making a slightly fatter chip on the same architecture. Ampere is not only a different architecture but it's on an improved node as well, should be around 50% or something like that, definitely shouldn't be worse than Pascal to Turing. Pascal was an excellent generation and Turing was further burdened by having to carry RT hardware which does not boost rasterization performance and it still managed a ~40% uplift (1080 Ti vs. 2080 Ti, no RT).

The CPU is Zen 2, it should do fine enough. It's vastly more powerful than the utter garbage current consoles have.

Why not buy a RDNA2 card? they'll have the budget cutdown version they put into consoles so you can match those and higher tier version if you want more.

>Why would you assume the 3080ti will be more expensive?
Another gen with no competition on the higher end, nvidia knows they can push the price up.

Cool, didn't ask.

You have no idea what you're talking about
Neither the PS5 or Series X are going to have 2080 super performance

>series x apu is more like a 2080 super
are you baiting or this true?

t. actually don't know

Those aren't out yet and we don't know what sort of performance to expect. At this point AMD does not have a card on the market which can match Turing's fastest, so I wouldn't be entirely convinced that they have something to compete with Ampere. I mean even if RDNA2 can reach 2080 Ti levels, I would be extremely surprised to see it reach Ampere, even if Ampere is only mediocre as far as performance improvement goes.

He's baiting and if he just happened to be correct the SeX would cost 800+ dollars.
