Vidya characters without their iconic features
Hey Engie!
yore
handsome
this could be a really good thread but people usually don't just have photos of that exact thing OP is requesting, we'll see.
After seeing Engie with his goggle for so long, I'm surprised this isn't more jarring.
bump for interest
>I'm the cook
mustache
Honestly i thought the google results for this were going to be a lot more fucked up
reminds me of this
It's just yellow quagsire
will never understand people who say woomies are white when they look like this
weird how this one doesn't bother me at all.
because shes not iconic
It took me a bit longer than I'd like to admit when I first saw it and it felt natural to me. Now it bugs the hell out of me.
Pretty much this. I played OW for a couple of years and didn't even realize what was different.
you know a lot of the tf2 characters are uber plain when you look at them.
Valve has some sort of wizardry with designing 5/10 characters, but giving them some special something that makes great.
They talk a bit about it in the developer commentary, they mentioned the importance of each character having a unique silhouette. It's a minor detail but I think it's pretty important.
>Pyro is Judge Dredd
yeah I get the sillouete stuff. But I mean valve has a lot of plain looking characters. None of them are ugly or beautiful, but just simply plain.
Yet it works, like how alyx works as that "girl next door" sort of thing.
I think Valve is the only western studio that has pulled off realistic design.
I say western cause nips did it too.
Is it just me or are his eyes much more uncanny that the others. It's like they're unnecessary wide compared to everyone else's in the game.
the entire face is designed for the goggles to balance it out. So yeah, no goggles means the face is going to look really deep and unsettling.
thats my theory at least
looks more slav than french
yeah and they sharted all over it with cosmetic items
also weapon skins should never be a thing
>not posting the ponytail
>also weapon skins should never be a thing
Weapon skins was the breaking point for me.
They acted like painted hats was a mistake, like they never expected people to use all the neon paints.
But they did it again.
Then they gave weapons fucking unusual effects
that's one of the first things you learn in any figure drawing class
it's not just a minor detail, it's key
humans recognize shapes and outlines before anything else
absolutely discusting no wonder Benry tried to kill him
worst one in the thread, please delete this image.
I like it.
probably because the design is so fucking cluttered as it is that you can only remember a vague outline of it
lol
That caption is so good. So batshit insane.
