You already know she will. There's some shenanigans going on in the remake as it is involving her, Marlene, ghosts, and dead kids. There's even a scene where Cloud is talking is talking to a ghostly astrral projected version of her. Even if she gets killed, she will still be a part of the party in some ghost form.
