Wrong Warp ruined any enjoyment I can get from OoT runs. The first speed run I ever saw was TSA's original sub 5 hour run, and it was amazing to see the game played so skillfully (albeit it turns out that he stitches it together). But now, most OoT runs are 16 minutes and boring to watch.

It's fun to watch for certain games. Sonic is the obvious example since the game series, for the most part, are meant to be finished fast.

Long ass RPGs however, are boring to watch speedrun. Speedrunning Skyrim is as impressive as running to the toilet to take a shit.

I prefer watching videos about speedruns and how exploits that speedrunners use work, rather than watching actual runs

In general, I feel that the enjoyment of speedruns is directly proportional to the ability of the runner to entertainingly explain what’s going on and what kind of silliness it requires/required to create the optimal route, but that kind of content couldn’t be made enjoyable by anybody on this godforsaken Earth.

JRPG speedruns are the biggest mystery to me. Shit tons of unskippable dialogue and scenes, usually zero leeway or planning about the routes to take due to linearity, even a speedrun takes over 10 hours, what’s the point?
