Don't play multiplayer for breaking Shara's head. The part HP scales disproportionately to total HP. For 4 players at least, the damage required to get the second headbreak is a little over 90% of the second form's total HP.

Dealing with him with elements borders on impossible, other than trying to rely on water, but he was generally pretty susceptible to status. In Tri cowards would sleep bomb him. In 3U, slime was stupidly strong and pretty much everything, including him. In Gen/GU, you are pretty overpowered and he's been nerfed consistently since his first appearance. Even p3rd hit him with a big nerf from tri.
Alatreon was in Tri, P3rd, 3U, Gen, and GenU.
