We can all agree in terms of FUN VALUE (not pointless boring lore stuff) it’s the best in the series, right?

Eh, that would be Mass Effect 3

The ending ruined all the fun value

Gameplay wise Mass Effect 3 was far better tho, some of the weapons were so satisfying to use

it would be fun if the gameplay had some depth
but the facts that CCs only work on hp bars makes the whole supposedly improved combat system absolutely boring

MASS EFFECT WAS NEVER GOOD

>not pointless boring lore stuff
illiterates need not participate in high level conversations. also, the correct answer is ME1.

still mad (even half-dead)thane loses a fight with kai leng

This.
In terms of fun ME2 is the worst in the trilogy 2bh

Eh, ME3 had better combat and made Shepard feel more human and less like a robot.

However, I still found this one overall more enjoyable. The character development is amazing, and I actually enjoyed talking to the crew on the ship.

In gameplay, ME3 is most fun. When it comes to exploration, atmosphere, lore and RPG parts, ME1 (even though tiring, driving Mako was fun as fuck). Me2 is second in everything, maybe except companions, but most consistent in all it's elements- they are fine, but nothing special.

never played mass effect, people says it's like star trek but with guns. is it true?

ME3 is fucking garbage and the worst of the trilogy

anyone who is not a gay faggot knows ME2 is best by far

>remove a ton of active skills especially for biotics and infiltrators
>remove weapon upgrading and ammo types
>makes you run around like a headless chicken for ammo pickups which serves absolute zero purpose (especially bad if you spec into sniper thanks to tiny as fuck ammo pool)
>enemies are even more bullet spongy thanks to armor ontop of shields

The gameplay is objectively worse than ME1 in every single way.
It has nicer animations and hit feedback, but that falls under presentation, not gameplay.

>bumpy mako
>copy and paste cardboard value planets times infinity
>broken combat
>lacklustre characters and personalities
>wooden voice acting
>cliche tropes

The ONLY thing it had going for it was moderately interesting worldbuilding

>no more exploding shotgun that overheats with every shot but you only need one direct hit
>No more cryo assault rifle that never overheats
>can't run into the face of the enemy with super sanic speed and unload into their face because you have to reload like a faggot

only the multiplayer, singleplayer is too easy even on insanity

ME2 fun value peaked before ME3 around the time of Layer of the Shadow broker. Anyone that disagrees simply wasn't there at the time. You would have replayed ME1 and especially ME2 countless of times at this point and new DLC was coming out set after the game. Post-game free roam is the reason ME2 is the best in the series. It made the game feel real, it didn't just end after the final mission. ME1 fun value was also naturally at its highest before ME3.

more like babylon 5, but it takes inspiration from many sources

as far as aesthetic inspiration goes me1 is more 70s scifi and me2 is more 80s

Actually, Mass Effect is still the best in the series. The rest are shit.

>gut all classes down to a few abilities
>introduce universal cooldown to prevent any combos and disincentivising using anything but each classes best ability (ie. adrenaline rush or charge) except for niche scenarious.
>add ammo and remove weapon mods to prevent creative/entertaining builds, or even tweaking for personal preference. make ammos abilities rather than mods for no logical reason.
>after adding ammo, make the amount you can carry really low for no good reason, causing excessive time wasted looking for pickups and preventing extended use of player-desired playstyles
>make defenses block abilities on an arbitrary schedule to further disincentivise using most abilities
>make enemies ridiculous bullet sponges on high difficulties

It's quite literally the least fun. It has neither the entertaining madness the first allowed, nor the functionality and semi-polish of the third.

it's more like Dragon Age in Space.

>>introduce universal cooldown
Oh yeah I totally forgot about that shit.
Also they filled all the levels with waist high walls.
Sure ME1 was no masterpiece in leveldesign but at least the locations had a bare minimum of immersion to them instead of looking like babbys first TPS.

No.

His death was not undignified enough. Where's the scene where Shepard kicks his decapitated head into a toilet like in 13 Assassins?

Yes?

No.

Yep

Just let's you know how much of a badass Thane was. If he were 100%, he would have easily killed Kai Lang.

ME2 is by far the most polished if the three. It also looks the best, and has the best companions.
