Combat is mostly based around the fact Spider-Man can move a lot, try not to stay still.

A few suits are pretty much amazing ,same with gadgets and the rest just pale in comparison.

MJ stealth sections are gay.
Spider-Man stealth sections are fun.

There are a shitton of side things, try to knock a few of them out right away to get the good suits right away, like the one that webs everyone up.

Get the skill to pull guns and attack enemies asap, it's almost a must have on hard mode

Feels and Arkham-style fighting that's actually challenging. They're not afraid to attack you all at once.

Webslinging around the city is pretty fun for awhile, but gets pretty tedious after a certain point.

Combat is pretty much like the Arkham games, it's decent, but not much depth.

Why was this game praised so much at launch? I remember the marriage proposal drama, the pride flags hanging divisively, and that every normie cried about how it was the best spiderman game (at least since 2 on ps2).

I bought it for super cheap on ps4 and played maybe halfway before I stopped and have never cared to go back. This game is every sony cinematic game to me. I get why people bash on nintendo and also wish they didnt because they try and innovate at times. This is just the same fucking thing with a fresh coat of paint and it sells and if you criticize, you are a [insert whatever buzzwords they learned off twitter within the last month].

I honestly didn't buy it because that was exactly what I expected of it, Horizon, Spiderman, Days Gone are all games of the same style, if you hate one you will hate all of them.
