It's unironically the worst Dark Souls game in the series, the gameplay is fucking trash, the zones are trash, the bosses are more bland than stale bread, and it amazes me how Yas Forums shits on DS3 constantly but praises DS2 when its the worst in the series,
Why do Yas Forums niggers love this game so much?
Because its fun
>BU-BU BUT GANKSQUADS
Dark Souls 3 did it worse.
>B-BU-BUT MUH INTERCONNECTION CONSISTENCY
It's a VIDEO GAME. They prioritized gameplay and environmental diversity over pandering to your autism.
>B-B-B-BUT BROKEN HITBOXES
Literally every Souls game has them.
Dark Souls 2 is the best Dark Souls PERIOD.
>least linear in the series
>most diverse environments in the series
>longest in the series
>most amount of weapons in the series
>most amount of armor and customization in the series
>biggest build variety in the series
>most amount of magic/miracles/hex/pyros
>best online mode in the series
>easiest to start a build in the series
>best girls in the series
>best and most SOULful covenants
>dual wielding and power stance
>respec
>offers rewards for fun challenges such as no death run
>NG+ has new enemies/items/events and some remixed bosses
>the only game in the series which doesn't force you to grind
>3 weapon slots in each hand
>4 ring slots
>reddit hates it

it's only the same five (5) autists who defend this game
This
They're not good at it either. They really need to get some new material.
It’s the hardest of the bunch and higher difficulty=better
all three dark shits games are just bamco contracted derivative trash of interchangeable quality. it doesn't matter which one is the best.
bandai namco is a publisher retard
every time i see a dark souls thread its full of 2 hating, but obviously Yas Forums isnt the same people at all times.
personally i havent played 2 since it came out, but im going through 3 now and a lot of the design decisions just make me not want to play
>It’s the hardest of the bunch and higher difficulty=better
why don't you show the user score? hmmm
no shit sherlock?
unironically seconding this
You need to cross a poisonous mire.
>DS2
Poison is a threat here, but you aren't actually forced to come into contact with it. You can stack poison defense, or destroy the sources of poison, or run/dodge through the poisonous projectiles, or bring plenty of curative items.
>DS3
Hold a knife, which lets you use mana to move through the muck faster. Your build hardly matters here. Avoiding poison is not an option, but it barely does damage anyways.
There is an item in a lake of fire.
>DS2
Find some fire resistance armor, rings, burrs, or spells, find some heal-over-time items or spells, or soak yourself in water, and survive the fire damage naturally. With enough resistance, you can cross at your own leisure, so long as you don't fall into the deep lava.
>DS3
Make a suicide run for the item and die.
You come across a dark crypt.
>DS2
You can stumble around in the dark, or you could carry a torch, which gives a source of light at the expense of one hand, and light sconces as you go, or mark where you've already been with prism stones. Be careful: some enemies are repulsed by light, but some are alerted by it.
>DS3
Your character glows in the dark. Powerfully. Even in the Abyss. The only real use for torches is removing maggots, even though they can be found in well-lit areas.
You come across a deep pit in the earth. You can see a path below.
>DS2
You can buff up your health though various means until you can survive the fall, acquire fall damage reduction items, or get an NPC to build a path for you. Just don't lose your footing.
>DS3
Just jump down. Fall damage is inexplicably turned off here.
You have fallen victim to the undead curse.
>DS2
Consume a human effigy to restore your humanity. You will suffer a penalty until you do.
>DS3
No need to do anything. You can't go hollow without help from Kaathe worshippers, who apparently have an interest in making you LOSE humanity. Who wrote this shit?
nice try faggot and before you say ds1 is on ps3 everybody know's the PC port is unplayable
There's no way to prove those individuals actually own or have played the game. They could just be autistic review bombers. Steam does not allow you to review unless you actually own the game, therefore the positive reviews on Steam are far more credible.
The VERY POSITIVE reviews on Steam, I should say.
this
Dark Souls is one of my favourite series, but i fucking hate the community. Why are you guys such bickering fucking retards. Just play whichever one you like best and let others enjoy themselves. Holy fuck.
>It’s the hardest of the bunch
I can't imagine what kind of a retard it would take to think this way. Probably the kind that shits on the game.
Found the DS3tard
Yas Forums hates and shits all over this game all the time, what are you talking about? I literally skipped over this game because of Yas Forums.
>why do Yas Forums niggers love this game so much?
Unironically, because I like the Emerald Herald.
The game also had some pretty cool one liners like pic related. And that one time when the Herald tells you "Bearer of the curse, I will always be at your side. Until hope has fully withered".
The one liner of the Fire Keeper in DS3 when you choose the End of Fire is also cool, but not as much.
Also, I think Vendrick was a cooler coward king compared to Lothric. The whole Giants' lore was also cool, while Giants in DS3 are just another enemy.
In the last instance, it's a matter of shallow preferences.
I do like DS3's weapon skills though. And the FPs in the style of Demon's Souls.
>nice try faggot and before you say ds1 is on ps3 everybody know's the PC port is unplayable
And yet you omit the fact that the PC port of DaS2 was also unplayable on launch.
You’re retarded
The DLC was pretty hard iirc, the ganking boss of the Shulva DLC that had one guy doing Havel cosplay and 2 others
And the white phantom that you have to beat next to the reskin of the Covetous demon in the Ivory king dlc
those 2 I remember being pretty hard
Yeah, the scuffed co-op areas that only made sense when the DLCs were separate and if everyone didn't just buy them. They're not good at predicting the value of their DLCs lmao.
add mauler autism next to the matthew video in that picture
>And yet you omit the fact that the PC port of DaS2 was also unplayable on launch.
And yet you omit the fact that the SOTFS also has a poor user score
>It's a VIDEO GAME. They prioritized gameplay and environmental diversity over pandering to your autism.
DeS was better at this. DS2 tried to get a DS1-like world going but dev time gutted it as seen by the epitome of everything wrong with DS2 PvE
Meanwhile, this is accepted.
>I can't imagine what kind of a retard it would take to think this way
Anyone failing to realize what ADP does, or failing to manage how little stamina they have in DS2 compared to the others.
Overcome these and realize how fucking awesome that forward-heavy-attack is and DS2's difficulty plummets.
Is there a way to play DS3 without paying 60 fucking dollars?
Casuals who only play DS3 hate DS2 cause infinite rolling isn't a thing.
It was just on sale for $10
DS1 was way better at handling the transitions. Getting to the kiln doesn't take you UP, for example, and you transition to that final area through a weird foggy dimension.
You get to Iron Keep just through an elevator. If it went down, if it teleported you, if it did any number of things it could be easily fixed. It wasn't.
where?
It might be an unpopular opinion but I like ADP. It gives different build options as you must decide if it's worth it for you. I've done plenty of PvP builds without leveling ADP and it's totally do-able.
Some people just suck, I guess.
Steam...the complete edition with all DLC was like $10...
DeS and DS1 fans had a hard time, as well: Stamina wasn't too plentiful with those games at the start already, then DS2 makes things even more costly while doing things like making you slower with lower stamina.
well, fuck those jews. i'm def not paying $60 now. Fuck jap jews
>Some people just suck, I guess.
People just don't know what it does, it's the game's difficulty setting but implemented via stat dump. I had more fun making builds around medium or fast rolling, I miss that horribly.
Someone post some non from software souls like games please, I need my fix
Dark Souls > Demon's Souls > Nioh > Sekiro > Bloodborne > Remnant from the Ashes > Dark Souls 2 > The Surge 2 > The Surge > Dark Souls 3.
You cross a magic barrier at the stairs after the lordvessel.
that is the only geographically nonsensical region, the rest of the game, until anor londo, makes so much sense you could make a model of it
Dark Souls 2 doesn't have a world, it has a hub, and a bunch of levels with no connection, it's like Mario 64.
Because thats the only game subhuman poorfags can run on their toasters
Should have gotten it during the sale, dumbo
>the only game in the series which doesn't force you to grind
imagine being so shit that you feel the need to grind in a souls game. otherwise a good post
It's actually straight-up Demon's Souls hub style, which is a weird thing to do for the sequel to a game that DIDN'T do it like DeS. You also don't realize it until you get to a primal bonfire room, it's like the game ruses you into thinking it's going to be like DS1 again.
How do Yas Forumsirgins know when sales happen? Do you guys use an app or something?
