It already happened. Also that picture is no longer relevant, a lot of things could happen in part 2 but we know for a fact that the timeline is different and Aerith won't get stabbed by Sepiroth. If she dies it's because she's seen the future and thinks she'll doom the world if she lives or some bullshit.
Sephiroth is actually nomura isekia'd into ff7 and is trying to give everyone the best outcome possible. Gackt is Yas Forums and they take the place of the time jannies fucking up sephiroths plans so things play out as they should.

Cloud would normally be downright implausible but they brought Zack back so he could just jump in as the new protagonist if they did kill Cloud

Turns out they have to kill Aerith no matter what to stop Meteor in every alternate universe and Sephiroth knows this and will abstain, so Cloud has to kill her. Or they do a switcharoo and Cloud dies instead of Aerith and Zack replaces him on the team somehow.
Final fight will involve Cloud's Jenova cells resonating with him but thanks to Aerith's "purifying" him instead of growing a single black wing he'll temporarily grow two white angelic wings and get powered up for the epic showdown against Sephiroth in his new black-winged Safer form.

Absolutely not true. We don't know that for a fact at all. Terrifying freedom means that things may play out differently, but it also means Aerith/Sephiroth's foreknowledge isn't absolute and events may unfold similarly regardless. Defying fate and being led into fate because you can't actually change your fate could very easily be a theme.

50% sure it will be that and then we get timeline travel bs about cloud waking up in his comatose body in Zack's timeline to finish out the game until he dies again with sephiroth

It would make sense from a gameplay perspective as Zack inherit Cloud's gameplay. Every other character, especially Aerith, is completely unique.
Guess we'd have to rename "that" website if it happens.

It's connected to the Kingdom Hearts universe. Sephiroth is Cloud's Heartless and Zack is his Nobody.
