Not yet. I plan to get around to it.

The DS had a very great catalog.

2/2 +TF2, +RE4
1/2 +Metroid Prime, -Majora's Mask
I haven't played Majora's Mask in years, but I don't recall enjoying all too much. Maybe I should replay it sometime and that'll change

this is the one I had from a jrpg 3x3, I don't have how to make all vidya genres one right now.

Genre grids are nice. I find them helpful when browsing for recs.

What do these symbols mean?

+ (it's good)
~ (not great, not terrible)
- (bad)
/ (didn't play it)

numbers hard for autistic brain so must use symbols

it's an efficient way of gauging other people's favorite games
if I were to just reply "6/7" to your 3x3, you wouldn't be able to know which games were considered bad or good
if I write the names or abbreviations of the games down along with a number rating, then it'll take too long

>you wouldn't be able to know which games were considered bad or good
I am of the opinion that if they cared which you liked, they would ask.

3/3

Yeah but it would be helpful if the reply specified which games they liked/disliked/never played immediately.

these are the best ones

1/2 (+Vice City -Fallout 3)
3/3 (Def Jam, USFIV, Vice City)
2/2 (WL3, Prime); I can get why you like Land 3 the most if you like Metroid. Never liked 3's setup personally. I prefer WLII's setup most, or just straight-forward sets of levels like VBWL & Shake It.
You're damn right.
3/3 (SMW, PM, Kirby); RoR seems really cool, I like all the OC I see around the board. Rougelites don't particularly interest me but I'd rather try those two than most of the others.
6/6 (Crash, Doom, Sunshine, DKC, UMvC3, Tetris Attack); my man for Mahvel. Main team? I've built several over time but I've settled on Hulk/Nemesis/Sentinel for my mains.
I should do genre grids. Seems like a great time.
2/2 (Solomon, Pac-Man); it'd be a dream if there was a game like Rocksmith for turntablism.

I've only ever played WL 3 and 4 desu.

>it'd be a dream if there was a game like Rocksmith for turntablism.
yeah. i don't know if anything else came out, but dj hero was pretty cool nonetheless

Harmonix is putting out a game this year called Fuser where you place different pieces of licensed songs (drums/bass/lead/vocals) onto the table and gain points by changing things on the beat and fulfilling crowd requests. It looks like a really chill game to fulfill my mashup itch.

DJ Hero 1 & 2 are still king though. 1 has the better aesthetic and slightly better soundtrack but 2 is mechanically superior. The ability to mod 2 was cracked open in the past year so people are making fantastic mixes in the style of the games and modding them in with charts. Nobody fucking cares since most videos can't even hit 500 views, but it's awesome to me. I hope it blows up soon (iteachvader noticing and commenting on a Megamix of his stuff might help).

It's better to let them know one way or another so you can gauge what aspects of your favorites they're familiar with. Makes recommendations a lot easier, and isn't that one of the actual points of these threads, along with the validation and the general casual discussion of games away from all the shitposting?
