Resident Evil 5

Let's be honest here, Resident Evil 5 was kino, and the co-op made it even better.

it was probably the worse OTS, at least 6 had nicer controls and colors
also wesker is cringe

You get to beat the ever living shit out of Wesker in hand-to-hand combat, thats as arousing as it can get

THERE'S NO POINT IN HIDING

I find over the shoulder resident evils weak. They don't really know where they want to stand between over the top action gamesn scary atmospheres and horror flicks with b-movie dialogues and it ends up being a clusterfuck with a sour aftertaste.
I played all of them, 5 and 6 with buddies and all, and none left me with satisfying memories. Even the cooperative aspect is subpar.
If you like it more power to you user but to me, these are just shite games.

Objectively wrong in every way

5 is an underrated gem, one of the most replayable entries in the series

>tfw sniping the guy on the ship so that your partner doesn't get trapped in a cage
>tfw taking down bosses in a hit with your infinite rpg
>tfw playing through nightmare coop with your gf

The story of 6 and action scenes was too Bollywood for me but the gameplay was fun and lasted quite a while to beat all the campaigns. Plus little points were an ok touch.

Agent Hunt was fun, besides the clunky controls and faggots you were trying to invade in the easiest difficulty with infinite ammo. Overall I thought it was an interesting dark souls esk invasion type mode. Was cool being able to play as the different types of zombies and bios.

Resistance kind of brought that back as playing the mastermind. Either let the AI control them or you can take over them

Co-op was great. It's always fun playing it with someone new or going back to it with friends or family

5 is awesome and honestly still a good time, but it really is only fun with co op.

I disagree, I think gameplay wise it's the most solid of the series apart from the new remakes

The tone and setting are garbage and not really immersive for a resident evil game. Sometimes i think back to some if the ridiculous things that happened in the game and i think it was some other action game, then I remember it was resident evil for some reason.

>be me
>love RE5
>want to try the co-op for once
>beg my nephews to play with me
>beg my friends to with play with me
>I even reached the point to offer buying the game for them just to play with me
>all refused
>fuck my life

I think the tone is fine excluding some of the QTE sections. Setting is subjective but I enjoyed every area, I appreciate that it changed stuff up, nobody ever tackles Africa in video games

7 minutes. 7 minutes is all I can spare to play with you.

its great for co op but if you want a single player experience 4 is still the best for that

It was a great co-op game. Not so much a great resident evil game.

kino means movie, so I guess you're right, it was cinematic garbage for the snoy generation

>Killing him with infinite ammo before he finishes the sentence

Having only played RE5 at release and once a couple years ago all in co-op, I went back to do a fresh, no upgrade, normal run solo and so far the AI has been no where near as bad as people complain. I'm at Chapter 5-2 and so far Sheva has only died maybe 4 times. Once to a chainsaw majini early in the game, once to the horde of lickers because I got greedy and wanted those lion hearts, once to the second oroborous fight and once in the part where she goes across a moving platform because I didn't keep a sniper rifle to cover her. All in all, not that frustrating.

That sucks. When this came out, I basically had a line of people to play with.

Yeah she's fine outside of professional difficulty, at that stage it's almost required to play with another human

Am I the only one who thinks re5 is more enjoyable than re4?

And there's nothing wrong with that.

No, I feel the same. I find the environment and gameplay more enjoyable

re5 is pretty shit, but an absolute blast with a friend

re5 is just re4 but better and it has coop. re6 is just re5 but better and it has multiple stories

Anybody tried the split screen on the PS4? Is it annoying or does it run well?

It ran fine on the previous gen, doubt it would be worse now. The camera is pretty tight anyway so you're not losing much screen real estate

Perfect, thanks. Gonna use it to break my wife into the series.

5 was great to play with a buddy especially if you set the difficulty as high as you can go. Although the QTEs are fucking annoying not even difficult and punching that fucking rock at the end made me nearly piss myself in laughter.
I prefer it over the remakes.

The remakes both sucked lacked the soul of original lasted a couple hours with barely any replayability and the balls to change them up massively like exploring the city or some shit.

I liked it, have never understood the disdain it gets.
