The greatest controller of all time.
The greatest controller of all time
Except for the garbage D-Pad
For 3D*
Its okay.
Not sure if its COAT but its certainly solid
>Build quality is solid, is essentially a 360 pad but with a better D-pad, super comfy ergonomics
>USB-C charged battery which lasts fucking ages
>Can use natively as a 360 pad on PC via Steam and if you have a bluetooth dongle it can even work via wireless
D-pad is a little mushy but overall solid. It's arguably the best controller Nintendo ever made desu
Yep, that's the only fuckup.
It's good but the GameCube controller was a better fit for my hands.
I bought one of these and it has pretty substantial input lag on the switch. Also the L2/R2 have way too long of a travel
Yep.
I've been using my 360 controller when I can't be bothered disconnecting my Switch controller and it feels like ass in comparison.
>only
its the biggest fuckup but definitely not the only one
>shitty gyro
>no headphone jack
>digital triggers
>$70 price tag
Until it starts drifting
Is the dpad really that bad?
I've heard it's a step down from the Wii u's apparently great one, but
I found one used in great condition for like $30, most of that is pretty forgivable at that price I think.
Has there ever been a better d-pad than this?
Why do people pretend this is important?
Because a good dpad makes all the difference when emulating or playing 2D games
Absolutely not, i hope the series x controller can match it
Then it'd be the perfect controller
>analog sticks
>greatest of all time
poor thing
I like it, but I find all the controls kind of heavy.
SNES
this controller has so many stupid issues that don't show up in other controllers and nobody bats an eye to
>the analog sticks grind more than other controllers and it creates this stupid white dust that you have to clean every so often
>your sweet sweet gamer g̶u̶n̶k̶ sweat causes the translucent shell to lose its....translucency over time and it gives it a dirty look and slippery feel
>every single button on it turns it instead of the home button meaning in tournaments if some retard forgot to desync their controller and left it in their bag it can turn on and possibly fuck with whatever is going on on the setup.
other than that good controller, disassembly friendly very close to the ds4 in ease of managing the insides, very durable the buttons haven't lost their tactile feel even after 2 years of use
I am pretty sure the creators are paying big bucks to shill this garbage controller everywhere
The Raid Shadow Legends of controllers.
What's a good PC controller? I had a 360 cabled and it was perfect for me, I dislike the idea of spending 70€ for the Xbox One controller + receiver
the newer xbone controllers have bluetooth built into them and they probably work with a usb cable anyways so you don't have to buy batteries
What's bad about it? It's not nearly as bad as Xbox or Sony's
What's the better alternative?
For Switch? The Pro controller
For everything else? Probably xbox.
It's just annoying to see people write or make videos about the best controllers on the market and ALWAYS this piece of shit ends up being either Nr.1 or "Close-second" with the article/video linking to the 8bitdo store. It's blantant shilling for a mediocre controller which is only acceptable for 2D games at best or maybe your own personal rasperry pi emu boxes.
If you have a Wii U pro controller you're better off buying a $20 dongle to hook it up to your Switch than you are buying any other controller.
>It's blantant shilling for a mediocre controller which is only acceptable for 2D games at best
To be fair, that seems to be more what it's geared towards with that stick layout and it's origin. I almost bought one specifically for 2D Switch games and PC emulation because I feel like the Pro Controller is ass for 2D and the PS4 controller has soured on me. Do you guys have any other negative things to say about it? I'd really like to hear some more opinions before I buy.
Not him, but I play all my fighting games aside from Smash via Dpad
>Do you guys have any other negative things to say about it?
The entire dpad button has way too much room to move and slide around within the cutout, this leads to scratching and is unpleasant to use
The d-pad is fine. Way better than the past two generations outside the wiimote's. Wii/U's pro controller's d-pad makes me want to throw the controller
