>made by Blizzard
I ain't fooling me. These devs are utterly incompetent when it comes to supporting competitve games, that's why people avoid them.

Maybe SC2 is good now, but I have zero trust in Blizzard at this point.

RTS genre is currently out of style

But Broodwar is already free.

Reminder shit like dota exists because people are too braindead to consider more than 1 thing on screen.

Also

I don't like Sci-Fi so never got into StarCraft. I had base 2 but didn't know it went f2p. I might check it out for the singleplayer in the expansions.

Koreans have shown that they are the undisputed best at 'gitting gud', also its an RTS. You think the crack-addled brains that go to Yas Forums like RTSs?

SC2 was never tainted by shittzard thank fuck, there aren't a lot of updates but to some degree thats what people want
No RTS has come along that beats the level of polish and production value put into SC2, and Wings of Liberty came out literally 10 years ago. Its not that they are out of style, nobody is making any worth a shit anymore. Hell AoE2 got remastered for the second time and it has 15k+ concurrent players constantly and that game is old as fuck.
Any tips to get into it from a SC2 players perspective? I mostly worry about the loss of QoL features like limited unit selection.
Dota 2 is good in a different way, but yes unfortunately good RTS like SC2 filters a lot of casuals.

im too fuckin dumb for rts and dont have a pad for fighting games

Sadly single player didnt go free, you still have to pay for expansions you don't own. Only the multiplayer stuff went full f2p (and some coop stuff)

you can play fighting games with a keyboard, directional inputs might even be easier for you compared to a controller.

Oh what a bastard. Thanks for the heads up. I don't really like multiplayer much these days and certainly couldn't do the trial by fire that is StarCraft to relearn it.

Look, I can generalize too.
>MOBA
>complex mechanics giving rise to gameplay that rewards both skill and strategy
>RTS
>google the current build order meta, click fast to win

Yas Forums is full of casuals and knee jerk contrarians, of course the people here will rarely talk about SC2.

Terran in both bw and sc2 seem too hard to play and i can't do build orders.

i would love to play this game or fighting games but i feel like it's not worth it since i'm the only one playing it among my friends , might as well play LoL which is also quite enjoyable

I played this until I reached diamond 1. Gave up due to stress. Now I'm afraid to even touch it.

Yas Forums doesn't play anything competitive or skillful really. Try gamefaqs or something.

They focused so much on making it an esports game they forgot to make the multiplayer fun.

Consequently very few people enjoy it.

>Finally
uhh it's been 10 years

It's over 10 years old and an RTS which filters 99% of players. You're crazy if you think you'll ever get people to talk about on Yas Forums.

>stress
Yeah thats why I stopped playing too. Once you're stuck in the league you belonh, the games are massively stressful.

I don't play games to feel worked up.

you're not too dumb or unskilled, you're too lazy
it takes 6-8hours everyday of practice to git gud
if you can't find improving at something like starcraft enjoyable it's just not for you

>it takes 6-8hours everyday of practice to git gud
lmao no.

Competition is overrated. Cooperation is the real joy of a civilised, non-barbaric human being.

well I'm certainly convinced by this ironclad argument

How's platinum treating you?

The custom games are amazing though. You could do almost anything with it.

Diamond actually.
And I just play it casually.

t. can't macro for shit with low APM

t. never been GM in his life

And yet everyone plays the same few maps on the arcade.

Fucking desert strike and other really simple garbage

>thinks Diamond is considered good
oh lol

>thinks masters is good

>> Nobody talks about it
But I talk about it

masters is when you can start looking at why a build/strat failed

>play WOL from release for about 18 months
>get masters rank 1
>next faggot is like 400 rating below me, no chance to catch me
>stuff in real life happened and stopped playing completely
>look at sc2 now
>its insanely different, tons of new units that seem uninteresting
>obviously new meta, no clue if its good or not
>new skins and shit
>f2p
is it worth learning it all over again Yas Forums?

Nah, but it's above average.
And it doesn't cost me more than a couple of games a week to maintain it.
You're just a brainlet coping with the fact that your peabrain can't keep up with shit happening on screen unless you "train" for 6-8 hours a day.

spoken like a true diamond

Ah yes, the pinnacle of gitting gud I'm sure. I guess you really got me with these high standards.

Diamond requires a single decent build order.

Even in the lower end of masters people barely know what they're doing

t. never won a gsl in his life

Keep coping while I continue treating it like a game instead of a job.
