What am I in for?

i actually liked it. Some bullshit solutions to roadblocking stickers though, dont waste time and just look them up when you need to. Same with boss strats. But the exploration and collection and environments are actually quite good imo
stop blindly hating it and finally actually play it
Just focus on collecting all the stickers as your end goal
The story is shit so why worry too much about that?
A bad time... Color Splash is actually good, though.
I would say a mediocre experience, it's better than what most people say but it's not amazing by any account.
Still better than color splash
A very good game.
Definitely better than Thousand Year Door.
So if I had to compare this game to Yoshi's Island DS is it similar to that in blandness?
how is yoshi's island DS bland in the slightest?
it has some gameplay issues, but the weird enemies and babies don't make it bland
I liked it but that's probably cause o liked collecting the stickers. Compared to the previous paper Mario games, story ain't as great.
A misunderstood master piece only hated by normies
>should stop blindly hating
Most of Yas Forums should do this in general.
this, as a collection game it's really fun
but optional side content shouldn't carry the game
A great soundtrack
This isn't bad
But what happens if I run out of stickers?
I’m about an hour in and I’m literally in shock at how bad this game is so far. Using stickers to attack? No exp? A paper thin plot where bowser once again kidnaps peach? This is a fucking embarrassment after releasing bangers like the original and TTYD. Hell, SPM is a BILLION times better than this steaming pile of diarrhea wolf shit. I’d rather give MYSELF paper cuts on my eyes than continue playing this trainwreck! Paper Mario Sticker Star? More like Paper Mario Stick it up my ass!
You have to go grind
Ignore minor enemies. Go find the Thing item that's for the boss and instawin
Is it really? I did a Paper Mario marathon last year and it was my first time playing the first two games. Absolutely loved the first three. As soon as I got to Sticker Star it was the most disappointing game I’ve ever played and completely killed my buzz and I quit it after making myself play it for about 3 hours. I’ve had Color Splash on my shelf for almost two years now and haven’t touched it. Is it much better than Sticker Star?
I see.
I played it and even 100% it. It has its charm but is easily forgettable. The worst and most jarring part is that you can get to the final boss without the sufficient/right stickers to battle it.
Use a guide and avoid as much combat as possible. The less you play it, the more fun it will be. The exploration is pretty good though.
>A paper thin plot
>I’d rather give MYSELF paper cuts on my eyes
I see what you did there
I don't know what the fuck they were thinking
>combat is even worse than any other mario rpg game
>can't attack if you don't have stickers
>can't beat bosses if you don't use the right object
>get a 'you played the game wrong' text if you beat a boss without using the right object
>lame story
>rpg with the classical super mario 1-1 map
At least the music was great
>What am I in for?
Disappointment.
>checked thread expecting "but this game was actually good" contrarianism\
>only half the thread is hyperbolic contrarianism the rest is guarded but positive
Pleasantly surprising.
>What am I in for?
pitiful mix of hatred and disappointment
Collect stickers and avoid fights.
It's generally a bad time.
A game that gets too much hate. It's not as bad as most people here say. It's just not nearly as good as the games before it.
Also a great OST
youtube.com
It has way better writing and slightly better gameplay
>slightly better gameplay
that's debatable, i honestly find the battle ui a lot more cumbersome
also the music is really unmemorable
Literally the best soundtrack in the series, I have no idea what you're smoking
