Why are western mecha so much better?

The walking tank aesthetic is much better than the giant samurai robot aesthetic. Blocky, practical brutalism is better even on something as needlessly self indulgent as a giant humanoid fighting machine. Anyway, your “western” mecha are almost all Japanese you dumb fuck.

I mean, unless you start counting shit like valvrave the liberator as mecha anime, the large majority of the most popular ones are about pushing the mecha.
