Can we talk about how badly this aged?

Can we talk about how badly this aged?
>anesthetize a guard
>wakes up 30 seconds later
>jog ever so slowly
>instantly get shot by everyone in the level
>sneaking is slower than a guard can walk
>some levels are literally walk from here to here
>4 levels to set up a single "regular" level
>way too many levels in the snow
Even Contracts is guilty of a lot of the above. BM is probably the first Hitman that's essentially jank-free by modern standards.

how do I git gud at these Hitman games?

Play slow, explore, don't try to go guns blazing, figure out what a good disguise is, figure out your target's general pathing and where kill opportunities are, and that's all there is to it.

Also, playing Silent Assassin or Contracts first is doing yourself a giant disservice. I recommend Blood Money first, as that's the best starter point. You can go back and play SA/Contracts retroactively to appreciate them, although I would only REALLY recommend Contracts. Absolution is worthless fanfic trash that you can skip over with no regret. C47 is very janky and rough around the edges. Not really worth a play unless if you really wanna see where the game got its beginnings. Nu-Hitman 1 and 2 are the best in the series, and ridiculously good games.

>This tard can't even stealth properly

What a fucking shit show lol

Yeah it was hard for me to get into this game because of the autistic as fuck AI.
You can complain that Blood Money made it too loose but it's a lot more fun.

>He doesn't know

Until 4, these games ALWAYS had shit levels - but they also had good levels. Yes, even the first one. The problem of course is that you always have shit levels that got in the way, and you learned to just cheat past them. Nobody sane actually played the jungle levels in Agent 47

And the less said about the new Shitman games, the better

Game sounds shit.

What's the point of having all kinds of guns but only being able to go sneaky and shit.

People always loved these games more for the good levels than the bad ones. 47 had Traditions of the Trade and the Lee whatever Assassination. SA had Anathema, and a few good ones here and there. Contracts on the whole is pretty damn solid, save for the leftover jank from SA. The first three were pioneering this new genre

I'll bite though, what's your issue with the new Hitman games?

Probably not for you then user. Not sure what to say.

agree. this game had the worst levels in the entire series, even worse than absolution.

>>jog ever so slowly
>>instantly get shot by everyone in the level

why aren't you just powersliding through the map?

What exactly is your problem with the new games?

YAME YAME

cheatengine 10x speedhack makes it playable

>steal ninja disguise with full face mask
>walk slowly pass the guards
>they can smell my gaijin shit a mile away
>YAME YAME
I didn't want to SA these levels a-anyway heh

This game is so inconsistent, it has some of the best hitman levels but 60% of the levels are the worst in the series

do you seriously want to know what's wrong with absoluteshit? As for 2016 and the sequel, they're okay game, but way too scripted. None of the levels feel sandboxy enough

YAME YAME

You might actually be right. H2SA even uses some of the worst aspects of Absolution, like the inexcusable practice of abandoning a disguise on a checkpoint, and completely arbitrary mission rating that randomly allows murder. But unlike H2SA, Absolution's final mission actually supports stealth even if it does end with an explosion.

Plutonium Running Loose really slapped my shit, but I honestly thought it was cool
and The Setup was haunting
the first good mission in 47 is The Massacre at Cheung Chau Fish Restaurant

>Plutonium Running Loose
Oh man, I remember dying so many times trying to find the bomb on the damn boat!

That music on that level is great though!

It's been two hours, but I think this guy's gay. C47 is completely worth playing, both because it makes the story cooler and it makes the Contracts remakes cooler too. It's also neat to hear what Jesper could do with just Midis. The jungle levels are pretty dumb, but I think you'll still have a good time.
BM is a solid starting point, as it retains both the older gameplay style, and is pretty polished.
Hitman TM makes the kill chances too obvious in my opinion, which makes the whole game feel too railroaded. TM2 Even has waypoints so you don't even have to think, just watch the cool events happen.
2's my favorite in the series, you're all gay.

Soundtrack wise, 2 is the best, no need to even dispute.

>>wakes up 30 seconds later
Factually incorrect
>>jog ever so slowly
You are a retard for not walking through entire game. Imagine the best hitman in the world who's always dressed in an elegant suit running.
Nobody who has ran in a Hitman game had finished it.
>>instantly get shot by everyone in the level
How did you achieve that?
>>sneaking is slower than a guard can walk
Yeah, that's how it should be
>>some levels are literally walk from here to here
What the fuck do you mean, of course you have to move around in levels, how the fuck else would you complete objectives? Is this someakind of nu-shitposting?

You mean you don't jog around and just shoot every Chinese and Arab in the head?

I did that on second playthrough and sometimes do that for fun, but first playthrough I always played the way the game was actually supposed to be played. It's the only way to finish the game, because as I said, Hitman doesn't run, he calmly walks into the place, does his job and then leaves as if nothing happened. Running in Hitman games exists solely for replay shenanigans

Yeah, it really did take them until Blood Money to make a killer Hitman game. But god DAMN, if Blood Money ain't a fucking GOAT game

Attached: 1565861322821.png (480x360, 225.15K)

they're all killer games retard

That's a pretty interesting take. I don't think I ever got into the role hard enough to never run.

Yeah snow levels were shot, the mechanics were broken and it didn't make sense.

I like Contracts more than Blood Money playing on PC lel. I used to love Blood Money, but that's on PS2. Contracts controls just nicer, though both have memorably missions

That, the hotel and that forest mansion are my favorites.
