Kingdom Hearts is. Kingdom Hearts 3 isn't.

They're alright. Story is simple until dream drop distance where it fucking hits the fan. It also takes place like five minutes before the so not much room to let the story take in all the new info.

KH2 gameplay is pretty good imo, and there's a few things I liked about KH3 (after disabling dynamic autism ofc)

Only 1 and 2

I only played the DS game but was fun. HAd no idea about the story. Combat is nice, but as other sad u can just spam a combo. Danold is annoying.

I genuinely only played the games for the gameplay until 3 ruined it. I don’t know how the fuck they managed that though.

CoM and 2 are okay
Rest is shit.

Yes the gameplay is really good it. KH1 was the first action game that got air combos right at start of the 2000's and it got nice exploration and handled the feeling of adventure really good.
CoM is ok. You will like it a lot if you like the game mechanic in that game and if not, it has the best villian in the series imo and a understanding story.
For 2 it is important that you play it on critical, yeah the other difficulties are ok but the real gameplay flow is only on the hardest one because you get to understand the combat mechanics and see that it's not just this mash x to win. The secret bosses are amazing and fell like how secret bosses should feel. Also no other PS2 managed to top the final boss from that game.
BBS is a hit or miss in it's gameplay aspects for some and is probably the longest one. The good thing is you have 3 characters you can choose from that can fit your style. Secret bosses are a miss and it has one of the unbalanced boss you will ever fight in a game.
DDD is the game were the story went to shit. Gameplay is the same as BBS but it gets more broken when you get 2 certain spells.
KH3 is a hard one. If you really want to play that game i really recommend that you should only play it if you have the Re:Mind dlc. And play it only on critical if you want to have a challenge. The form changes are fun to experiment with and with the latest update Sora got some new abilites that make the game more fluid beside some new mechanics from 3 that make it better to and more enjoyable to fight. Worlds are ok and some bosses are just boring to fight.
The extra bosses that got added with the dlc are one of the best bosses i have ever fought in a videogame they have everything you expect from a hard 1v1 fight.
Mechanics, OST, fair but really hard challenges and it feels just really got after you beat each one of them and the 14th one is even better then every other boss from the franchise and topped every other boss from a action game i played
