Why do Persona fans not like this game? Apocalypse and Persona games cater to the same demographic who love mushy themes of friendship.
Why do Persona fans not like this game...
because the game has the shin megami tensei title, it shouldve been called Persona: Mad Max
Gameplay is too good. Same reason IV babies don't like it.
Should I play 1 and 2?
Jokes on you, I like both games
only if you hate yourself
Because it's an actual video game, not 80% visual novel like Persona.
Yes, 1 is great. 2 is decent.
edgiest game i ever playedand i love it
What do you mean they don't like it? They've never even played it let alone heard of the Shen Megoomi Tensay series
Sure, both are pretty easy and not very long. SMT I is extremely tedious though.
>tfw smtv never ever
Maybe you'll get another trailer after Persona 6 Arena
They get hard filtered by canoe guy.
Should i play 4 first or can i just play 4A straight up?
Apocalypse was in a weird gap where it didn't appeal to either SMT or Persona fans.
Play 4 first
Yes. Also SMT: If...
yup. and don't import a Nothing ending, only import a Chaos or Law ending, or a save with both endings from NG+.
Despite being lighter than most prior mainline games and having muh nakama, it’s not persona.
It’s more standard JRPG stuff in the whole friendship spin.
>no calendar system
>no school setting
>no social link system, even DeSu2’s closer with the FATE system
>waifufag game is weak, no romance system outside of turning a partner into a living onahole, and they aren’t appealing to a guy interested in virtual romance, even if Persona blows at this as well outside of the surface levels stuff
>doesn’t play like persona outside of fusion and weakness exploitation, even with P3 using AI members, you weren’t restricted to on
>tone wise, it’s still edgier than the persona games in general
Vanilla or the eventual Ultimax version?
imagine not doing all endings before jumping to the sequel
The last ASW game to do revisions was Rev2, right?
Might be after their dlc seasons end and then they release a version with that packaged on.
Depends on if you like first person dungeon crawlers. If you can't tolerate rpgs where you move around in a boxlike maze (like pic related), you should avoid 1 and 2.
1 can be cheesed to all hell because bosses don't have ailment immunity, 2 is okay but endgame magic is not that good so it becomes a game of buff up and normal attack until opponent die.
Also only play if you like 1st person dungeon crawling otherwise you will become bored really quick.
More like normal attack plus that holy judgement move people fuse Anubis and shiva for.
Don’t forget backtracking too
Because it's not based around schedule busywork. Also, if you seriously say P3-5 and SMTIVA are on the same level you should quit videogames and look at streams or something. Complete disregard to form.
>love mushy themes of friendship
That applies to one ending. In the other, you murder all your "friends". Even the Bonds ending wasn't really about love and friendship, the animu (for lack of a better word) writing makes it seem that way. Bonds is about connections born out of dependency, even with people you don't like or agree with. The acceptance of limitations and achieving our potential within them. Dadga is like "fuck that shit", beings should break their shackles and the limitations imposed on them, be independent and limitless in possibility. Beyond "man", "demon", "god" or any word that would encapsulate them.
reminder that SMTV
NEVER EVER AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Why do SMT fans act like you have to either hate Persona and love the main series or vice versa? Why isn't it possible to just like both?
Jesus fuck can't you have more patience. After all this time you would think Atlus fans would develop some skin or something. I don't see EO fans bitching as much as this and they don't even have a fucking NAME for the next project.
no
I think smt fans dislike it. Persona only fans probably don't know it exists
For me it's just that Persona isn't what I'm looking for when I play a JRPG. I hate games that are half in half out hybrid genres. Either make it a full on visual novel, or make it a full on JRPG
God I want to fuck Nanashi
