You only have one job: to repeat the success of RE2 remake

How do you fuck it up?

I want to find whoever kept pushing the
>redemption arc
meme and punch them repeatedly in the balls until blood pours out of their urethra FUCK LEON, FUCK THIS RUSHED MESS THAT JILL DIDN'T DESERVE, AND FUCK YOU IF YOU HOPPED ONTO THE RE BANDWAGON WITH 4. EAT SHIT AND DIE ZOOMERS

it's fun, but it's way too short and they had a chance to make nemisis something much better.

RE2 remake was good by accident. They probably don't even know what made it so good.

Based

>They probably don't even know what made it so good.
what did make it so good?

Sorry old man but this is our franchise now.

too short but at least the series isn't dogshit anymore

My picture of part of the game was you in a block of the city, plenty of alleys and maybe a street or two. You would have a bunch of buildings you could go into, some of the multifloor ones would have holes in the walls connecting to other buildings or some pieces of rubble/something that would let you cross some of the roofs, this would allow players to make complex routes to try and escape from Nemesis. Have Nem start out similiar to Mr.X from REmake2, but way more aggressive and capable of bursting into a sprint. The further along in the game you get Nem gets a rocket and then later just uses further mutations to hunt you down. All the while the streets are filled with Zombies, forcing you into moments where you have to draw attention to save yourself and also put more risk on you.

RE2 was good, RE3 was never good. Simple.

But the redemption arc was going so strong.

RE2R is just as souless as this game, IMO. I feel like I'm living in bizarro land, the way people talk about these two games. This game is exactly like RE2R, just with strictly better parry-based gameplay and less annoying and tedious environments. Carlos also actually has some character development, unlike literally everyone else in either game. But the game also ruins Brad, Jill, Nicholai, and Nemesis, so... Both games aren't that good, and are straight up worse than the originals, IMO. I feel like people just think RE2R was good because it was fresh/new...

>Make the main character ugly and change her personality to being vulgar and confrontational because a Korean said to
>Remove features that made the original game special like branching paths and Mercenaries, and even features that were included in the RE2 REmake such as Nemesis having random roaming patterns
>Remove major sections of the game, including the iconic Clock Tower section
>Make it ultimately shorter than the original RE3, which was already short
>Sell it for $60 when the RE2 REmake which had a lot more work, passion and content for it was sold for $40

By telling fans of the originals to fuck off, water downa beloved game to a new generation, and laugh all the way to the bank desu.

It was never going to be as good as RE2make because RE3 was never as good of a game as RE2. It's short, action-centric, and the only replay value came from the split decisions that were nowhere near as effective as the B campaigns. Honestly, the remake captures it perfectly

>because RE3 was never as good of a game as RE2
Nah

RE3 was the worst mainline RE title until 6
Theres a reason you shouldn't turn a spinoff into a main game

>until 6
6 is better than the average RE.

>Make the main character ugly and change her personality to being vulgar and confrontational because a Korean said to
First half of this is subjective, so that's not a well structured argument.
Second half is something that applies to the original, ignoring the Korean bit. Jill in the original game also never actually warmed up to the UBCS like she does in RE:3. She's still confrontational with them, and her getting on the helicopter with Carlos is entirely spurred on by Carlos wanting to help civilians, not because Jill likes him.
>Remove features that made the original game special like branching paths and Mercenaries
Branching paths, sure (even though the only actual branching paths were past the midpoint of the game). Mercs though is literally a reskin of EX Battle except far fucking shorter.
>and even features that were included in the RE2 REmake such as Nemesis having random roaming patterns
Nemesis did not have 'roaming patterns'. He "roamed" all of one area for about the same amount of time he did in the remake. The only reason people think he roamed around longer is probably because of the RE3's maligned RNG where Nemesis would sometimes have randomized scripted appearances at specific places.
>Remove major sections of the game, including the iconic Clock Tower section
The Clock Tower being iconic is debatable, but I'll give you that it was removed.
The other two areas, the Park and Dead Factory weren't though. Park is just replaced with the far longer sewers, and the Dead Factory is replaced with NEST 2.
And I saw the sewers is the replacement for the park because that's where the gravedigger replacement shows up at.
>Make it ultimately shorter than the original RE3, which was already short
They're about the same length. I beat RE3 in 6 hours after not having played it for a decade just two weeks ago, and I beat RE:3 in 8 when it came out.
I also played both games on their highest difficulty.
Also, good on you ignoring what RE:2 cut.

RE2make fucked up the A/B scenario with a glaring plot hole that everyone ignored because zoomers have low standards.

Objective

Knowing that more half the selling game is about marketing: brand recognition and "water cooler" conversation/fads. Also, just get some pajeets to shill on that hacker Yas Forums(((nel))) forum, it's trendy with the kids nowadays.

>redemption arc
What? The first REmake and the Outbreaks?

Subjective, jackass
Even if you were pissy because you think RE4 ruined the series, its STILL the best game in the series objectively followed by RE2make and REmake

It really isn't.
Also
>think RE4 ruined the series
Take a look at that image one more time
Of the games in the two lowest tiers (AKA the bad game tiers), 3 are pre-4, and only 2 are post-4.
Of the games in the second highest tier, 2 are pre-4 and 3 are post-4.
In the third highest tier, it's 3 v 2.
Nice victim complex though.

RE2R is mediocre, that's a fact. But the remake RPD is so well made that we end up forgetting the game is mediocre. If they had turned the RPD into a generic modern American police department everyone would notice the mediocrity of the game.
The RE3R takes place in 1998 and yet it feels like it takes place in 2020, it's too modern and bland. If the game had proper places to explore with puzzles and a proper Clock Tower, I'm pretty sure fans would like it.

Why shills always praise cutting-content and deviations from the original? Fuck these fags

because its the same shit as the cashgrab Remake 2 was
>Reused assets from RE 7
>Cooper testing outsourcing chink slaves used only facescanning machines instead of cgi computers crapcom is hiding behind "muh realism"
>Cut content
>theres barely any different content between Leon or Claire runs they have literally the same puzzles and items
>OTS cancer so epic fornite dabbers, zoomers and underage b& RE 4 babbies could digest it
they got away with it and they greenlight this piece of shit because you faggots dont have any standards your consumerism makes me sick you enjoy eating shit dont complain when they shit again on your plate
kys

Because RE2 took all the best aspect of re3. What else were they supposed to do? Top it?

Attached: 23534563464.png (1107x598, 512.24K)

First game was re4 but because of it i found the other older titles and love them more. Even I can admit re4 was the beginning of the end for RE despite it being a 10/10 game

By reducing the amount of exploration of large complexes full of dangers in favor of scripted action sequences. People like survival horror in survival horror, best parts of RE3 were early streets and the hospital and they were too short.

Only way this game could have been kino
>Scrap Resistance or whatever is called
>Add Code Veronica remake as an unlockable

filtered

>Add a game longer than both scenarios of RE2 with more files, unique areas, cinematics and action setpieces as an unlock

Literally yes. The main goal of RE3make should not have been "Be better than RE3" but instead "Be better than RE2make." It's not just a remake of RE3, it's a sequel to RE2make, and it failed to improve. They should have sat on the game longer and built it out to be better than RE2make.

I hope they just don't run through every game in this same damn engine with the same damn mechanics. All of the Resident Evil games were distinct from one another. I don't want them all to be uniform with just scenic and character swaps.

Are you one of those retards that still think the team responsible for the main game rushed it to work on Resistance?

>6 is better than the average RE.
