I think the next Xbox will not be able to compete against the PS5. The Xbox brand won't be instantly culled, but it will be put on life-support a la Windows Phone, until Microsoft decides to pull the plug.

They have the more powerful machine and will be cheaper, not sure why it wouldn't be able to compete.
They fucked up badly this generation by having an inferior machine and completely botching the release with retarded marketing choices, and yet they still sold half of what Sony sold, which is amazing because they should have completely flopped they way they drove loyal consumers away at first.

They're gonna bring out everything they can. They sure as hell didn't buy all those studios for nothing. The Series X is gonna make a comeback as big as Nintendo did with the Switch. I don't even care if MS sells more consoles than Sony or not, I just want to play some great games on the console I'm more comfortable with (Xbox) and have a good time.
The only thing I'm not keen on is the fact they put all their exclusives on PC, I'm 100% sure they didn't do that because it's "good for the Xbox brand". They did it because they sold so few consoles and needed to make the money back somehow, they for sure would have NEVER done that if the Xbox One had as much success as the PS4.

Depends 10000000% on whether they get good exclusives on it. That is LITERALLY all that matters in consoles. Exclusives.
Switch is the shittiest console of this generation by far, yet it's also the most successful because it has three good exclusives and POS4 only has two. The "best" console of this generation (XboneXXX) isn't even in competition because it has zero exclusives.
It's baffling that these multi-billion dollar companies haven't picked up on this simple fact because it has only been true forever.

They do seem to have good things going with a number of studios have been silent for years waiting to release the new stuff... but I just can't see why, if Microsoft wants XBOX to succeed, they put Game Pass and all their exclusives on PC.
