Never played tactics. which one should i play?

It's the best version of the game, but the UI is too small for an actual phone. Only get it if you have a tablet or an Android emulator.

WotL is an annoying. Like great, you fixed the typos, but the translation as a whole is way too exaggerated and stylized. Play the original FFT where the character dialogue makes the conversations more relatable and grounded, or play WotL if you want to deal with convoluted verbal diarrhea

I have a Samsung edge 9+, would that be big enough? I also have a Kindle fire with he play store on it

I have a Galaxy S9+ which is a little bit bigger, and it's doable, but it's not very comfortable. I still occasionally struggle with picking the right menu option. Although I don't use a tactile stylus with it, so that might help.

If you can tolerate the Shakespearean dialogue and get it patched up, then the original is still better.

They are both great but I wouldn’t recomend wotl. Just emulate the original and when youre done do 1.13 patch for actual competent AI and challanging games the new jobs and acripted fights are really good you will have fun and you’ll probably wonder why square made like 20 games that play the exact same but they couldn’t make more tactics. And yeah I played tactics advance but they’re kind of a let down for me at least because the figths are kinda easy and jobs are pretty limited meaning they didn’t improve on the original. Just play 1.13 if you want a real challange rigth off the bat. Play the original and then 1.13 if you have a lot of time.

If you dig it then play the PSP version, though they removed spell and action quotes for some damned reason.
There are sound issues and slowdown problems for the PSP release.

I don't mind the flowery dialogue, FFT plays out like a Shakespearean tragedy anyway, especially with Delita.

I really liked the original. I know it has some goofy lines but its charming.

I prefer the original translation because the language used is a lot more "realistic" and coarse. There's some odd sentences but overall I thought it was better.

War of the Lions has the best dialogue of any game, plus added cut scenes. It's the superior version in every way.

I really miss the random attack lines people got for casting spells or using moves.
