You play the fucking games OP.

Play the first game you just posted then 2,3, CVX, 4, 5 , 6

You play them, you fucking dink.
I'm playing the first one at the moment, it's pretty fucking good. Remake though, so no goofy VA for me.

I only played RE1 2 3 and 4 but if you're a zoomer you might not be able to handle tank controls

You don't, play the Silent Hill games instead they are 10x better.

>not the original
Please stop doing this with series and respect their roots

you play them on release order
and if you still want more , play the weird spinoffs like deadly aim and revelations and whatever other shit spinoffs

I think as of now the best way would be to play the remake of the first game, then the remake of the second and third. If the first one gets you hooked, then you should be fine playing the rest. If you get really interested, you will probably want to play the original three, and if not you just go to play the fourth and see how the series goes to hell in spiral during 4, 5, and six, then you play 7 and will probably enjoy it more. If you still want more, you will end up playing Revelations 1, and 2.

Overall, the REmake will probably tell you if you like Resident Evil or not.

Not that user, but being honest and even objective, the original is not that good, and certainly not as good as the remake.

Play REmake, then Resident evil 4.
If you liked those you can play 2 and 3 (Both the originals and their remakes are good). Resident evil 7 is optional, but still good.

It's not a narrative focused series just pick the game that looks cool. For me Resident Evil 2002 is the best of the traditional survival horror style, Resident Evil 4 kinda pioneered the third person blockbuster and is a blast even now with really satisfying gunplay. The two new remakes are pretty good as well.

And I'll get shit for this but RE6 is incredibly enjoyable once you get the mechanics down. Closer to an action game than a shooter.

Just YouTube some no commentary and play what tickles your pickle matey.

I did it a few months ago OP. I've played REmake, RE2 remake, RE7, RE4 and RE3 remake. Glad I did, it's been a blast.

REmake is by far the best, but don't start with it because it's pretty punishing by today's standards. Probably start with RE2 Remake.

Don't listen to the faggots crying because you're not playing the originals.

1-5 then the remakes

haven't played 6 so I can't say if its worth. Revelations and all the other spinoff games are pretty bleh but if you like the series enough then you might like them too

The original is great. The remake changes a lot of things, not all for the better.

Possibly unpopular opinion here:

REmake is great but only if you're already familiar with the gameplay style of the original and the sequel, otherwise it's too difficult

>tfw can't decide between finally finishing RE4 or just replay REmake, RE2 and RE3 GC with HD backgrounds

Original has way more replayability then Remake because of Arranged mode alone.

Invisible enemies are not 'fun'

Finish RE4

do yourself a favor and avoid 6.

Code Veronica, Revelations 1, and Revelations 2 aren't spin offs.

whoa nice edit my lad

The Revelations games are far away enough from the main trajectory that it's safe to treat them as spin-offs. Code Veronica though, I agree it shouldn't be called that.

What kind of gun is that anyways?

play in order stupid

Rev1 and 2 are so bad they might as well be.

What? Don't listen to this retard OP.

Play RE5!

not that user, but Rev1 was good, at least up until you get to Terragrigia. Hunters are cheapy bitches.
Queen Dido, and that last boss, shit was pretty stupid, though.

Rev2 was definitely pretty meh.

They're on the main website with all the other games considered mainline, and I disagree on the trajectory thing.

I honestly think that the original is not as good as most people remember it to be, and I don't really mean the tank controls, which is something most newcomers complain about when talking about these games, but a lot of other things like the atmosphere, which at times is too cartoonish for the kind of game it's supposed to be, the graphics are not good even for its time, the voice acting and writing is just horrendous, and so on. I think the remake took everything that you could appreciate from the game and mixed it well; the atmosphere is consistent, and it fits the mood of the game (you see some enemies that could be too preposterous or dumb to be taken seriously handled well enough so that it doesn't feel that way), the voice acting is good, the graphics are good enough, and even the tank controls were improved in a way.

Can any /k/ fags tell just what the fuck he's holding? my brain cant make sens of it. it looks like 3 different guns combined

It's not a real gun

It's an AK 47 double barreled shotgun rifle, user. Come on.

What about them makes them part of the mainline series? A website's not good enough.

re2make

tank controls arent hard

What makes them not part of the mainline series? The gameplay is in line with the mainline games, and the story is as well. This isn't something like Operation Raccoon City which was clearly meant to be it's own thing.

You don't have to experience their stories to understand 1-7, and they're lower budget compared to 1-7.

code veronica and 0 are more a mainline game than 4

>0fags actually believe their shitty game is relevant and canon
