Never got into Mineycrafta, but Minecraft RTX looks incredible.

Me, but I'm only here because I have nowhere else to go.
...
Not from infdev but from alpha. Minecraft is soulless garbage now
I have alot of places to go but also alot of time so i still return, if only to shit on retards.
The new worldgen is awful. Remember that time when Notch added giant trees, and anybody remember the enormous fucking mountain lands?
Still here, but started in 1.5 beta I believe? not sure, around the time the Nether got introduced anyways. Play occasional singleplayer vanilla and still have fun. I do miss the survival vibes of the early days though. Knowing redstone helps. Sometimes just get the urge to try an idea out in my survival world.
Minecraft 2?
I'm working on an oceanic research base.
I remember the first time I played minecraft was an embedded version on the old MC website. They offered a deal for 5usd that would get me the game and all future updates and versions. I bought it.
When microsoft brought out their new version on the microsoft windows store they gave me a full free copy of it because technically the old agreement still applied
I bought it back then to support someone on Yas Forums and thanks to procrastination I still havent played it and dont know what the fuss is all about.
I waited until November 2010 to actually buy the game after playing only classic for months. It was 20 bucks, but here I am, still getting free updates 10 years later.
Weird, it feels like longer ago. Usually things feel like they happened less long ago.
Not me, used to only browse Yas Forums back then
very cool user. what shader pack?
SEUS Renewed. My computer isn't powerful enough to handle SEUS PTGI or the new RTX update.
God I miss that worldgen
Everything is so flat and boring now. Amplified worlds are cool but annoying to play, and there's no in-between.
I am here.
This just makes me sad cause now I know they will never have sky islands again.
I'm still here. I also remember playing the browser version and the free creative download they had. I remember the first time I played I found a cave with a red flower in it. I remember when snow worlds were added later on and I had built a base, went out to go look for something, and lost track of where I was. Couldn't find my base again until maybe a year had passed and I just randomly stumbled back across it. It was nostalgic to say the least.
I've been playing some MC recently (1.15.2) and it's missing something, but I can't put my finger on it. I miss the feeling old MC had of exploration and the unknown. I miss old world generation. I miss it's simplicity. New MC just isn't the same. I guess it's just time to move on.
But do you remember when water from above was just as dangerous or moreso than lava because it spread and flooded the cavern you were in almost instantly? All it took was a single water block. It was way easier to fill in a custom moat back then.
It was also way easier to accidentally your entire world.
Mods have sky islands. Also Minecraft has settings for world gen that result in old school craziness.
I remember this coming out and everyone playing it in the computer lab during homeroom.
i'm still here, begrudgingly
these days every time i open Yas Forums i think "good god, this is fucking shit, these people are mentally ill" but the habit is too strong and occasionally there's something happening
I'm using SEUS Renewed too, but my lights don't glow like they. I mean, they glow but they aren't solid light blocks. They're just really bright versions of the usual textures.
>flaotguy hasn't posted in years
i still believe in FLAOT god damn it
I dont honestly give a fuck about mods.
Those are beacon blocks, for what it's worth. Some new-fangled block type I don't understand. I just care about the light they produce.
Indev was great but was severely limited by map size. Giving up flowing water was just another downside of infdev becoming a thing.
you should. it's not that complicated. modders have pretty much managed to accomplish what the game would be like if mojang gave a shit
Well, if you did, you'd have sky islands again.
Microsoft*
Hytale is coming but it just got bought out by Riot so who knows what the fuck will happen to that.
holy shit
Yeah I remember that, The water physics were a hell of a lot different. You also used to be able to take a block out of the middle of a body of water and have it refill itself easily. Now, if you do that and it's not at a corner or edge you'll just fuck up the source block.
Don't forget user
meant for
Had to go check from screenshots to see when I started playing, looks like the oldest screenshot I have is from December 2010. So I have no idea if I was on in October, but it was from the first server I was running so I wouldn't be surprised if I was on two months prior to that.
>i want thing
>community made a thing like that
>i don't want that thing
