You know how Geras in MK11 works?
i thinks something like that but for the opponent
cancel any damage you've received in the last 10 seconds
more importantly, how do you implement this nigga's abilities
He erases/rewrites the last 5 saves on your memory card.
Teleportation and restore to full health. Also you inflict a very powerful DoT on an enemy with a chance of instant death.
How did ABS and EoH implement King Crimson's ability?
When a character uses their ultimate attack, it activates automatically once in-game, and he gets a blow,
How do you counter it? Well it's supposed to be op
you become inmune to damage for a while and Become invisible so you can reposition yourself, once you come out of it you do a strike for some damage
I main Diavolo in Eyes of Heaven and I don't know how King Crimson works.
Is EoH fun?
Diavolo is a very forgettable and boring villain but King Crimson's design is a 10/10.
just copy nash's v-trigger from sf5. thats all kc uses it for in the show anyway
Enter King Crimsons time. All damage Diavolo takes is undone after 10 seconds.
If opponent is a player, CPU overtakes controls.
In ASB its a counter. If it activates the opponent can't move until Diavolo presses a button or a few seconds pass.
>do input when you have meter
>for the next 10 seconds the game is normal
>but then all of a sudden time rewinds to before 10 seconds.
>you just saw your future self
>the one your fighting is slowed for those ten seconds and there forced to do the input they did in those ten seconds
Probably make him a counter heavy character. A stance that allows him to disappear for a second when he's hit in that state and lets him retaliate.
Make his block move a window of immunity
Easy counter, never use an ultimate. If you can't win with fundamentals against a guy with no power outside of turning off your ultimate, you deserve to lose.
Basically it's the sum of three separates ability
>The ability to see up to ten seconds into the future (which you cannot change in any way)
>The ability to become essentially immaterial for up to ten seconds (which is why Diavolo has to stand behind his opponents prepping a strike)
>The ability to make everything in the universe act as they would if he didn't use his power, which is how he is able to kill Narancia so quickly, he foresees Narancia's death, activates King Crimson, and watches as Narancia's body (well really Giornio's impales itself on metal railing). When his power ends memory of what happened is erased, but every physical interaction that was supposed to take place still happened, except those involving Diavolo.
He can watch the future freely but his second and third ability happens at the same time.
I agree to a little extent, Doppio really was enjoyable and his sequence was one of the best in the anime, the problem is that Araki really got deep into the mysterious boss thing without giving Diavolo enough moments to shine, and not even a proper end fight. He's the most wasted potential in the series.
Like Dio in part 3, Yes he was absent literally 90% of the story, but the ending and last fight were fulfilling
ASB
>gets a special dash with i-frames (I think)
>counter where he poses, if he gets hit KC Player 2 loses control of their character but Diavolo can move, once Diavolo presses any attack button time resumes and P2 regains control
>meter counter where if he gets hit a cutscene plays and he does huge damage to opponent
>can use meter to activate Epitaph, as long as he's in neutral he'll auto dodge attacks
EoH
>can activate Epitaph, if he gets hit he automatically teleports behind the enemy
>can press a button while being hit to auto counter the enemy
>can press a button where he just becomes invisible until he attacks
Also, KC is irrelevant as to why Diavolo is considered to be so good in ASB. iirc he has a meterless BnB that does a third of an opponent's health off of a jab. Then he has a lvl 1 super, Epitaph, that lets him dodge things if he isn't attacking or jumping so he can easily close the gap. He can also use king crimson to combo break for 1.5 bars
its ok

Genuinely a pretty interesting implementation of him.
I see you clearly dont understand how King Crimson works.
King Crimson is situational, it's like implementing a fairy that can grant every wish in a simple game.
The only way it could work is like asb.
WEAK KNEE GO BOOM
he also provided a better way to implement bites the dust than what we got in ASB.(haven't played eyes of heaven, so I'm not sure how it was implemented in that game)
I wish Capcom had made HftF-like games for the other stand parts.
You've been tasked with accurately implementing Johnny into Heritage for the Future 2, but you aren't allowed to give him a horse. What do you do?
