Load times aren't even long on anything but the hugest games right now

The ssd will be worthless for anything but speeding up installs. Devs will port the games with a Port Game button and not optimize for the ssd's lower load times at all.

I'm old enough to remember cartridge games, zoomer. You don't get much faster than a mask ROM plugged directly into your system bus.

Its not just ssd, all the bottlenecks have been taken care of to make that ssd result in a difference in how you interact with a game.

This is the real problem for Sony, only exclusives will take advantage of the faster load speeds outside of maybe better textures brought on by virtual VRAM.
Everything else, the XSX will do better. It has the advantage in CPU, GPU and memory bandwidth and doesn't have to cook itself to do any of that. Every multiplat can take advantage of those things.
