Where do you suspect part 2 will end?

Well they padded 5 hours into 40 with Midgar, so I'll say Jenova fight on the boat.

Hopefully, in the toilet where it belongs.

>he thinks we're still following the original story line

The only area they'll go all out on before tmeple of the ancients is the gold saucer. Juno won't be the whole city and just the harbor

Cloud and Zack are teaming up to kill Sephiroth, but then the Sephiroth from the future interferes leading to Sephiroth succeeding in his plans. Cloud , Zack and friends have to jump to Zack’s original reality (the one we see at the end of the remake) and try to stop Sephiroth from there.

>past and future Seph fuse to get 2 wings.

lmao

It'll end on Tifa's death scene

Kalm

Heavily expanded Nibelheim. They have to split the remainder of Disc 1, it has the vast majority of towns and locations in the game, Discs 2 and 3 are mostly backtracking.

Chapter 1 Kalm flashback
Chapter 2 Kalm and chocobo ranch sidequests
Chapter 3 Marches and Midgar Zolom
Chapter 4 Mythril Cave
Chapter 5 Recruit Yuffie
Chapter 6 Junon side quests
Chapter 7 Cargo Ship
Chapter 8 Costa del Sol
Chapter 9 Mt Corel
Chapter 10 Mt Corel/Gold Saucer side quests (recruit Cait Sith)
Chapter 11 Desert Prison
Chapter 12 Gongaga
Chapter 13 Cosmo Canyon sidequests
Chapter 14 Gi Cave
Chapter 15 Nibelheim
Chapter 16 Shinra Mansion (recruit Vincent but he won't be controllable a la Red XIII in part 1)
Chapter 17 Mt Nibel
Chapter 18 Mt Nibel Reactor

>one's white (or metal) and one's black for extra edginess

when the ghost of future christmas offers you to revive Tifa.

This actually makes perfect sense. Some big shit will go down in Nibelheim unlike the original.

Where does future Sephiroth and Zack fall into all of this?

Like so many things in the original it never made sense that you just go through a rebuilt Nibelheim filled with Shinra immigrants, go up that mountain and just pass the reactor to Rocket Town.

>Chapter 5 Recruit Yuffie
>Before Junon
That's not how it works.

Cutting room floor. No way they are doing the second part

ASSSSSSSSSSSS

junon

Not that guy, but I have a feeling Yuffie is going to steal all your shit in Kalm. She probably won't join there, but it will be a way to introduce her while giving an excuse to take away all your equipment, materia, and money.

>That's not how it works.
Oh the irony.

Honestly I don't think alternate Zack is anything byt a what-if device for DLC or a spinoff title.

If they do use it it's something that'll be an interlude/side chapter showing that universe, and it'll only come into play either around Aerith's (would-be) death or the climax when Meteor's about to fall and then we get timeline jumping nonsense.

Sephiroth will show up a LOT more though in part 2. In the original, until Temple of the Ancients you barely had any idea where you were going (and were in fact going the wrong way). Now it'll be more connected.

When Cloud gives up the Blacked Materia and watches Aerith die, but then LET US DEFY FATE happens.

Kek, Nomura will do this. He loves silly plot reasons to put everyone back to level 1.

What? You recruit Yuffie in the forest between Myhtril Caves and Junon.

Nah it'll end on Junon or Cosmo Canyon, I fucking guarantee it.

>steals your shit in Kalm
>corner her in Junon
>she already fenced it all and sent the money to Wutai
>blackmail her into repaying her debt to you by helping you in some way

That'd work nicely.

Why would Square not want to print themselves more money?

>no 4 hour fort condor unskipable scene
>no Shinra intervention at every corner because they actually track you
>No deepground, soldier 2nd or Gackt

Preorder = Canceled

user, my 7 hour save on PS4 recruited Yuffie right after going through the caves that are just past the Midgar Zolom

They know they will fuck it up completely

Junon is too short, and to end in Cosmo Canyon would detract from the Gi Cave storyline.

Wherever they're ending it needs to have significance to the greater plot, so it's either Nibelheim, Temple of the Ancients or Forgotten City.
Temple of the Ancients would still be doable but the game would defintiely have to be longer and bigger than part 1 then, with Rocket Town, Wutai, GS date in between.

They won't do Fort Condor until the Huge materia arc.

Shinra's involvement with Cloud is weird after Midgar. The Turks obviously know where they are and where they're going, but leave them be to chase after Sephiroth.

dude its not the original timeline anymore they might just pad new areas and erase others how do you not know the new mithril cave isn't the whole entire disc

It's almost any forest, really. That's just the earliest point in time where you can get her if you are lucky to find her and not screw up the answers.
Though it makes much more sense if she appears later when you have a better understanding of the world and are able to go to Wutai.

If anything, I'm interested in how they will shoehorn Yuffie and Vincent into the story by making them mandatory characters. Vincent seems easier due to his connection with Hojo and the labs.

People keep saying this but I think it's stupid to assume they'll change the sequence of story arcs and locations. They still need at least a modicum of pretense for calling it a Remake, and not alienate everyone completely. 90% same, 10% off the rails, same as the first one.

We'll get some major changes to the main story and a "True "ending, everything else will be the Remake people expect.

BAMBOOZLED

So how long in between the games are expecting? My guess would be 2 years, but that might be optimistic.

Either way this will be a 4 part series minimum at this pace so I look forward to completing it in 2026.

This is very realistic. Possible tease of Cid toward the end.

>If anything, I'm interested in how they will shoehorn Yuffie and Vincent into the story by making them mandatory characters. Vincent seems easier due to his connection with Hojo and the labs.

They already built up a basis for Yuffie with the Avalanche-Wutai connection and Shinra using false flag propaganda to vilify Wutai and make it seem like there'll be another war.

>90% same, 10% off the rails, same as the first one
More like 70/30 and if the ghosts are done for then it might be fucked up from now on.

>Though it makes much more sense if she appears later when you have a better understanding of the world and are able to go to Wutai.
not really, she hides her identity anyways and shes only in it to steal your materia. plus the stuff she does in junon and on the boats fun so i wouldnt want it cut.

Either when Aerith gets got or the Northern Crater

>gongaga
>this guy shows up as a boss

It doesn't matter, it's going to print money no matter what.

Vincent is crazy popular and Nomura loves him, they'll definitely tweak the plot to get him into the party sooner.
I wouldn't be surprised if one of the first five chapters has you literally waking up as Vincent in the Shinra Mansion and fighting your way out.

We are, Nomura was just trying to ruse cruise cause he thought spookyness is cool.

Everybody keeps using the Stamp thing as an example but in the game they clearly state how Stamp was changed by Shinra.

If you wanna be more cannon, in the original FF7 Zack is carrying Cloud when he starts getting shot by the cliff and the soldiers dont kill Cloud cause its pointless, in Crisis Core he fights a whole platoon of assholes.

Nomura is a hack and constantly re writes games cause "this would be cool."

Remember he wanted to rewrite FF15 into a musical after watching one.

I agree. The exact events and plot points will be twisted but you'll go to the same locations, meet the same characters, and fight the same bosses.

I have always gotten Yuffie before Junon. You can get her as soon as you're out of the Zolom cave. And you should.

Had the game been called FFXVI with different characters, it wouldn't sell half as much, even if they kept the time jannies concept and the alternate timelines in the story.
Nostalgia and quarentine are doing wonders for this.

Nomura loves Vincent (him being an edgier version of Cloud) I doubt he would be left for a third game

How the fuck is progression going to play out?
Will there be an open world?
Do I get to go back to Midgar?

Part 2 will be all about Zack and Cloud, so it'll end with him getting his memories back.
