Have you actually read Crossed? There's nothing like that in video games. It's like XX and R rating all in one. There's no morals that it teaches and there's no happy endings. It's just a masturbatory tableau of evil and gore pushed to the limits.

The one mildly interesting aspect of Crossed is that it doesn't actually make you murder/rape crazy or evil, it removes ALL inhibitions, even including familial love. So mothers kill kids if the impulse hits, etc. And super rarely the mind is calm enough to not have an anger or desire impulse make them do something awful.

But basically every single time in your day to day life that you want to attack someone for disrespecting you, you act on it without fear or restraint. A waste that the actual product is just an edgy 13 year old competition.

Some of it is really good and disturbing and some is not that great at all. Badlands is just sort of there to be there and it just keeps going. The episodes that are just singular, cohesive stores are much better imo.
