Most overrated game of the decade, no discussion
>b-but breath of the wild!
At least Breath of the Wild feels like a finished game instead of one big blueball experience
Most overrated game of the decade, no discussion
Happy 2nd anniversary GOTY 2018!
Now cope faggots, sequel is gonna be even better and only for PS5
I liked this game, in fact i'm looking for more RPG games
Similar to Skyrim, Witcher 3, GoW
any recommendations?
Good argument
Assassins Creed Origins
yeah rdr2 is good and like above said assassins creed is fun
Nah GoW is a decent game, not the 10/10 flawless masterpiece it's marketed to be but everything is overmarketed nowadays
Most overrated goes to either TLOU or Witcher 3
Happy 2 year anniversary! Hoes still mad btw
This is the worst bait Ive read all month.
>Most overrated goes to either TLOU or Witcher 3
Again, to games that at least have pay-off for their setup. More variety in locations too
Yeah, I'm pretty mad that the entire game is spent setting up Thor and Loki only for neither of them to actually make an appearance. I was mad that the game dangled a bunch of realms in your face and arbitrarily prevented you from going to them as well
Just kicked the fire realm Valkyrie's shit in after more than 10 attempts. I don't like leaving fights for later.
Also only once clipped through the textures. Good game.
You're right, it's solid. Just not game of the generation worthy
It blows my mind that this game got as much praise as it did, it literally feels half-finished.
Not just the troll bosses, the low enemy variety, the limited weaponry, the "aww chucks guess we have to backtrack" narrative and the final boss feels like it comes out of nowhere; also its the fucking first boss with a DmC color coded gimmick.
The ending and Loki/Thor reveal was pretty awesome but it just makes the game feel even more unfinished.
The unfinished nature of it is what got me. Half the game felt like padding and when the credits started rolling after the Loki I couldn't believe that was it
>Most overrated game of the decade, no discussion
that belongs to tlou, thats just a generic shooter with boring characters in a dull overused zombie world, god of war atleast has some interesting monster designs in a fantasy setting.
God of War is a TLoU rip-off and at least TLoU feels like a completed story taken on its own
after like 6 games that played exactly the same and 2 years of "my wife's son" nobody expected it to be good and we got a game with good combat, good story and gameplay completely different than the previous games
it may be a bit overrated but it was a good game and a solid foundation to make a sequel incredibly good if they fix the shit from the first game and add more and better stuff
saying a game is overrated is not an argument either.
>miserable pacing due to sluggish backtracking that only seems to be in service of padding out the length
>low enemy variety
>game sets up oden and thor only to withhold them for the sequel
>baldur stops being immediately due to a less equipped kratos beating him at the start of the game
>repeated boss fights (trolls, valkyries and baldur)
>only allowed to visit a few of the realms with two of them being repetitive optional challenges
>At least Breath of the Wild feels like a finished game
not really
Yes, really. There aren't glaring omissions from BotW that blatantly standout
No it's actually NieR Automata that's the most overrated game of the decade, probably of all time. At least BoW and Dad of War took gameplay risks and changed the established formulas for better or worse. Automata is shitty copy pasted Bayonetta combat minus the depth and stellar enemy designs. Yet people act like the game is the savior of the medium because it unoriginal tries to add new context to simple game mechanics.
based, Nier A is a terrible game
Nier A is definitely overrated but it felt more comprehensive than GoW
Oh fuck off, Nier Automata was made on a shoestring budget compared to BOTW and God of War. Square was too busy sinking millions to remake its dogshit Final Fantasy MMO.
that doesn't make it a good game
game was assbait with a cool soundtrack, nothing more
Cringe
Based
TW3 and GoW are the most I
Overrated. I agree.
>Muh game won more awards that no one remembers
>meanwhile RDR2 still sales, gets played, and influences more games and isn't Dead like Naughty Dog of War
It was good and had a killer OST. The only thing that sucked was the lack of any true boss fights besides Baldur & the Valkyries. The rest is just trolls, draugr and Wulvers, but his can easily be remedied in the next game.
can't wait to see Valkyrie-Freya and Freyr go after Loki while Kratos is burning through Asgard looking for Thor
cope
Sure except for in the areas of gameplay and design and setting and story
Basically this. I had a good time with the combat despite its flaws, the story was good even though it was padded, and the production value mostly compensated for some bland environments. Plus the axe was just cool.
game's pretty awesome tho. But it did borrow a little too much from TLOU at the expense of losing its own identity. Also, is not like the narrative improved by that much either. The boy is annoying.
I expected them to keep Asgard for the third game but if Kratos dies and goes to Valhalla he will already be in Asgard so don't know where the third game is gonna take place if that's the case
Lack of dungeons is a huge gaping hole of an omission, also lack of ememy variety. Great game tho.
>killer OST
music was definitely the standout. The overall sound design was impressive to me. Even in a huge chaotic fight, everything sounds clear and distinct.
