I'm starting to believe tortanicfags barely exist anymore. And I'm certain that antitortanicfags are far more prevalent. What person in their right fucking mind would think this game was ever going to fail financially? This game exists to make money for square. It could have been complete and total shit and it would've sold. The people criticizing the game aren't butthurt switchfags or mustards it's people who think this remake was a bad fucking idea. Nintendo just burned through their Switch stockpile, resulting in shortages. You know, because of Animal Crossing.
If it wasn't because of Animal Crossing the sales wouldn't have plummeted. But saying that they plummeted is also kind of disingenuous without the context of the absolute mega success that was Animal Crossing. Because all things considered it was an extreme net positive.

There were the UK threads about extremely limited supply. This is a common Japanese fake hype tactic. They regularly under ship the demand at launch so they can gloat that the game sold out. It's pathetic and happens every time.
That said FF7R sold very well and obviously switch sales are fine because nobody can fucking get their hands on one. Clearly there is insane demand waiting to be fulfilled for the switch. Almost like the stupid Japanese under deliver method works.
