What went wrong?
Baldur's Gate 3
Didnt have Obsoidian making it
It's not out now
people realized the franchise was always shit, just like star wars
It's a modern game so it will have a ton of dlcs plus political agendas.
Is this just an excuse for another thread about cucks and SJWs?
i suppose does goes hand in hand with Larian retardos
It’s not even out yet so why ask what went wrong?
So it will actually be finished when it gets released.
>Baldur’s Gate 3 will launch in Early Access with five companions to begin with, with more coming later. Throughout the main campaign, all companions are open to romance from all other characters, and senior writer Adam Smith is looking to create more complex relationships, with the help of Dungeons & Dragons lore to mess with the players’ heart strings.
>“So, Liselle, she’s the Githyanki. And Githyanki don’t really do monogamy,” Smith told VG247.
>“So if you sleep with Liselle one night at camp, the next night you might well just find her sleeping with somebody else. And she’s going to be like, ‘oh, that was a bit of fun, wasn’t it? How are you doing?’ And you’re just like, ‘oh!’ Heartbroken!”
baldur's gate 3? you mean baldur's cuck 3?
Is it really necessary for BG3 to have Bioware-tier dialogue? Honestly I'm all for more features to bring it closer to PnP than cutscenes
Eh, not really into the polyamory thing so I guess that's one character I'll never romance.
I'm sadly already expecting this to be top tier cringe
cuckold studio owner and devs
who the fuck is the audience for this shit ? why the FUCK are the developers even talking about these "features" ? who's asking these fucking questions
>but hey what about the romance options
I will tell you who, absolute beta gaming journalists. god what a disgusting profession.
I'm a fan of Larian Studios and i don't think they'll do well with BG3. Larian's too big on the ham-fisted shtick comedy and gag dialogue heavily throughout everything they do. It's perfect for their own IP's because it's got that euro-janky feel and a Mr. Peanut kind of vibe.
I don't want that in Faerun. I don't want my baldur's gate / pen and paper D&D to be overflowing with 4th wall trope memes and hamfisted pun humor.
I do not believe Larian can treat an IP like Baldur's Gate properly, and I think they'll lower the franchise into their murky swamp of tropes and 4th-wall social/meme commentary. I hope they don't, but everything they've ever made had this aspect heavily.
Polyamory is retarded. I have an ex who is all about that shit (wasn't a thing when we dated). She's a Tumblr generation feminist these days, so I'm sure it's all about "mah body, mah powa" but I can't help thinking how it's really like saying "I'm such a finnicky piece of shit I can't settle for a single thing in life."
I'm not sure even how it works for her, she was pretty, and had an incredible rack , but was the most boring fuck in history.
>that pic
yikes
>I don't want my baldur's gate / pen and paper D&D to be overflowing with 4th wall trope memes and hamfisted pun humor.
Baldur's Gate was full of that sort of humor, I'm convinced most anons here have never actually played them. They're goofy Bioware games based on D&D, not serious stories.
Am I retarded or is Neverwinter Nights original campaign too hard for solo play? I'm playing on Hardcore diff, and I'm not lowering that because lower difficulties are retarded like player characters being immune to crits
who would want to fuck the githuanki bro get real
Depends on your class
at least it's not made by fucking Beamdog
Unarmed monk. Currently at act 2 but act 1 was constantly hard at non thrash mobs too, for all bosses I had to reload shitload. I'm currently level 9 and doing that Mutamin quest and there is this dwarf named Gorkan and he's absolutely raping me
Some classes are literally stronger than others, or simply don't play well without support, the monk is not among the strong classes
The original campaign was apparently based around the idea of playing as a good aligned martial class, it's not impossible to play the campaign as anything else but it will be harder
The romances in Baldur's gate 2 were incredibly minor details that had little impact on anything, but the novelty of it resulted in a lot of the word of mouth being 'omg you can like romance the npcs'. This created this semi-mandela effect where people assume romances are more important in BG than they actually are.
This just gives me one more reason to exterminate the Githyanki. They're technically an entire race of cucks who WILLINGLY let themselves be bred to be weak little obedient snacks for their lich queen.
They were pretty major actually. If you didn't romance Anomen you didn't find the truth behind his personal quest, or Vic doesn't get assassins send after her at all without romance. But yeah people treat it like it's those romance vns, it's not that much
>actual developer that knows hot to make vidya and doesnt afraid of anything
based if you ask me
yes
>5e
Hard no.
Larian wants to become the next Bioware.
Some people think Monk is one of the strongest classes though, I assume they mean the end game then? I don't know how different would another martial be at this point. I feel like the game was designed with more than one player in mind or lower than hardcore diff, but I just refuse to turn down that difficulty, lower ones are retarded
Still I can kind of recommend this game. It has stuff like Monks actually using their wisdom stat, or paladins/sorcerers charisma. I think I'm going to like it more when I get used to it and also try custom campaigns
>level 10 mind flayers
As someone who doesn't know much about DnD besides vidya, what classes is this game likely to havE?
>this is the basedboy in charge of romance
>was never romanced in his life
>would have no idea what makes a good romance
>it's going to be all inclusive romance bullshit
>monogamy will not be found in any capacity
You know it to be true. I'd rather have no fucking romance than some forced dribble written by a man who's first date would be his last.
Fighter, Cleric, Monk, Rogue, Wizard, Sorcerer, Ranger, Artificer.
Sounds cool. So aside from the companions the main campaign will be completable in EA?
Druid, Paladin, Warlock.
Is Artificer confirmed? I know WotC took like 5 rewrites on it
Did they show any gameplay so far?
githwanky.
They weren't 'full' of it, like Larian's games are. That's dishonest. They had their jokes (Minsc, bandit dialogue, etc), but it wasn't nearly as over-the-top and ubiquitous as Larian's writing where every single NPC is literally saying memes and youtube references.
>Forgotten Realms
Larian + nu-Wizards of The Coast
it will be a tranny, cuck, SJW fuckfest
And if you have any doubt of that, just research about those companies
